Mexican residents crossing U.S. border daily; to attend school

It’s not just illegal aliens attending our schools on taxpayer money. Apparently, some border towns have Mexican citizens crossing back and forth on a daily basis to receive their American taxpayer funded free education.

In Calexico, California, American citizens are being bused across town because of overcrowding by Mexican citizens.

Every day along the 1,952-mile border, children from Mexico cross into the United States and attend public schools. No one keeps statistics on how many.

In response to citizen complaints, the school district has actually hired a photographer to take photos of kids crossing the border, in an attempt to identify those who don’t belong. As usual, not all of those who’s job it is to serve American citizens agree:

Jesus Gandara, superintendent of the Sweetwater district, with 44,000 students along San Diego's border with Mexico, said tracking children at the border goes too far. "If you do that, you're playing immigration agent," he said.

Somebody should find out if Jesus Gandara is crossing the border along with the students.

Never before have I felt so confident that ANY other choice would lead to the end of our way of life in this country. In our official endorsement announcement last week, I wrote this:

To me, there's no other choice at this point than Fred Thompson. He's been consistent on all topics and his stances that are posted on his website today are pretty much what he stood for ten years ago. There are a few concerns I have with some of his prior connections, but the bottom line for me is that with every other candidate … we LOSE even if they manage to get elected. We already KNOW they suck!

Against all reason, Mike Huckabee is currently sitting on top of the polls and seemingly pulling away. He is the worst of the worst. This is a man who once called the Minutemen a group of bigots and xenophobes. His recent posting of an immigration plan to his website was just as disgusting. It was nothing but a copy and paste of someone elses plan and when asked about it the next day in several interviews ... he couldn't even discuss the contents of the plan because HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT SAID! Pathetic!

There's too much to dislike about Huckabee to include in this single blog post, so I'll urge you to GO HERE for the entire listing of vomit producing Huckabee facts.

Now, let's get to the whole Ron Paul fiasco. In the last six months I've lost over 1000 friends from my list for not supporting Ron Paul. Ron Paul supporters are mostly made up of fanatical, anarchist, Bush hating, anti-war, druggies, and 9-11 Truthers who only care about the Constitution now while it benefits them. They claim to be against large government controls, but what they are really against ... is ANY control. They are against ANYONE who would tell them they can't do something. They usually hate cops, hate Bush, hate school, want to legalize drugs, and would eliminate the military if they had their way. And just try asking a Ron Paul supporter about religion. Heh.

Yes, I know there are exceptions, but the exceptions are the few. The exceptions tend to be those who don't spend a great deal of time doing research or watching the news. They are usually teenagers, college kids, or the elderly who don't have the ability to research who the man really is. They have usually been pulled into this "fad" by a relative, loved one, or group of friends who have filled them full of Paulbot propaganda. And of course, a great deal of them live here on MySpace, and I don't use the world "live" lightly. Most likely, they wouldn't even be able to tell you anything about the man, and I've noticed that most Ron Paul supporters I've spoken to have never even seen the man speak!

I know for me, all it took was the first time. The first time I saw him speak I actually started laughing! This man would pull our military from all foreign lands, he'd cut off all military funding, and he actually believes that if we simply IGNORE Islamic countries, that Muslims will suddenly stop following the teachings of Mohammed! They'll throw their Qur'ans away! They'll suddenly all become our friends. Ron Paul believes it's "none of our business" whether or not countries like Iran and Syria develop nuclear weapons. Ron Paul believes Islamic radicals hate the United States because we're in Iraq, completely ignoring the fact that the Qur'an specifically teaches Muslims to murder all non-believers and wage war upon them wherever they live. Ron Paul believes allowing people such as Sadr to have long range nukes is the fair thing to do. Good GOD!!

Will someone please tell Ron Paul to read the Qur'an? Someone needs to let him know their hatred has nothing to do with our foreign policy. It's the Qur'an, stupid.

But don't expect Ron Paul supporters to grasp this. Ron Paul supporters believe we can be lovely bubbly cuddly friends with THESE GUYS.

At virtually every rally and protest I attend, there are scattered groups of Ron Paul supporters. The overwhelming majority of them are between 16-25, tattooed over most of their body, dressed as if they're from Berkeley California or Woodstock, and carrying signs or stickers stating that 9/11 was an inside job, Blood for Oil, Stop Bush's War, yada yada yada ...

There's absolutely NOTHING conservative about Ron Paul supporters and in fact, they tend to be far left. This is why they are currently in the middle of a "Change Your Party" push, where they are urging supporters to "register as Republicans" so you can vote for Paul in the Republican primary. Conservatives my ass!

Here's what's really telling about Ron Paul supporters...

Since I've been writing on illegal aliens and Islamic Radicals, I've received death threats on a routine basis. What's pathetic is that I've received more death threats or threats of violence from Ron Paul supporters than from supporters of Islam and illegal aliens combined.

VOTE FOR FRED THOMPSON, and let the Ron Paul hate mail begin!

North America 'partnership' fast-tracked in border bill
Calls for speedier regional economic integration between U.S., Mexico

WASHINGTON – The controversial "Secure Borders, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Reform Act of 2007," which would grant millions of illegal aliens the right to stay in the U.S. under certain conditions, contains provisions for the acceleration of the Security and Prosperity Partnership, a plan for North American economic and defense integration, WND has learned.

The bill, as worked out by Senate and White House negotiators, cites the SPP agreement signed by President Bush and his counterparts in Mexico and Canada March 23, 2005 – an agreement that has been criticized as a blueprint for building a European Union-style merger of the three countries of North America.

"It is the sense of Congress that the United States and Mexico should accelerate the implementation of the Partnership for Prosperity to help generate economic growth and improve the standard of living in Mexico, which will lead to reduced migration," the draft legislation states on page 211 on the version time-stamped May 18, 2007 11:58 p.m.

Since agreement on the major provisions of the bill was announced late last week, a firestorm of opposition has ignited across the country. Senators and representatives are reporting heavy volumes of phone calls and emails expressing outrage with the legislation they believe represents the largest "amnesty" program ever contemplated by the federal government.

President Bush yesterday attempted to tackle the concerns of those opposing the bill – denying again he would ever support an "amnesty" bill. The Senate is expected to begin debating the measure this week.

In its current form, the bill would offer probationary legal status to the estimated 15 million to 20 million illegal aliens who were in the U.S. before Jan. 1, 2007. Those who then met a series of requirements — including payment of a $5,000 fine and $2,000 in processing fees — could gain citizenship within an estimated 12 to 13 years.

In his weekly radio address, Bush said the plan "will help us resolve the status of millions of illegal immigrants who are here already, without animosity and without amnesty."

Bush said under the bill, those who "come out of the shadows" of illegal immigration will qualify for a special visa if they "pass a strict background check, pay a fine, hold a job, maintain a clean criminal record and eventually learn English."

To become citizens, he said, they must pay an additional fine, "go to the back of the line [of applications], pass a citizenship test, and return to their country to apply for their green card."

Among other provisions, including increased hiring of Border Patrol officers, the bill would establish a temporary worker program.

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, called the deal "amnesty – a pardon and reward for lawbreakers."

"Many senators claim that their deal renews respect for the rule of law," King said. "Let me respond to that absurd statement by stating clearly, you cannot simultaneously tear down and rebuild one of our constitutional principles. I took an oath to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law. The price for amnesty is the sacrifice of the rule of law."

King, ranking Republican on the Immigration Subcommittee of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, said each of the senators who struck the deal "should wear a scarlet letter 'A' for amnesty."

Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., also was quick to label the bill "amnesty."

The senator said it "rewards people who broke the law with permanent legal status and puts them ahead of millions of law-abiding immigrants waiting to come to America."

"I don't care how you try to spin it, this is amnesty," DeMint said.

"I hope we don't take a thousand page bill written in secret and try to ram it through the Senate in a few days," he added. "This is a very important issue for America and we need time to debate it."

In fact, while the draft bill is far from finished, it is 326 pages in its current form.

The House is not expected to act until the Senate passes a bill.

Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., called the deal "the best possible chance we will have in years to secure our borders and bring millions of people out of the shadows and into the sunshine of America."

Illegal immigrants would be allowed to come forward and obtain a "Z visa" that puts them on a track for permanent residency within eight to 13 years. Fees and a fine of $5,000 are required and heads of household first must return to their home countries.

The illegals would be able to obtain a probationary card right away to live and work in the U.S.

Bush, GOP senators trim border fence goal

Six months after approving a bill promising to build some 850 miles of fence along the U.S.-Mexico border, the Bush administration and Senate Republicans are now saying 370 miles is enough.
In his negotiations with Republican senators, Mr. Bush also appears to have rejected the key compromise in the Senate bill passed last year: allowing only longtime illegal aliens with "roots" to have a path to citizenship. He instead favors a more circuitous path that is open to almost all illegal aliens.

Oakland Tribune activity sponsors and organizes anti-Bush protests

Starting in February, 2006, the Oakland Tribune appears to have made the decision to stop reporting the news, and instead … to be a part of it, or even create it. On February 13th the Tribune ran an editorial giving instructions to readers on how to participate in an anti-Bush protest. This protest was apparently officially organized, sponsored, publicized, and physically conducted by the Editorial Board of the Oakland Tribune.

Here is the announcement as it appeared on one website:

Mail or bring your copies of '1984' to the Oakland Tribune -- they will send them to Congress!! 23 Dec 2005 "We think it's time for Congress to heed the warning of George Orwell. To that end, we're asking for your help: Mail us or drop off your tattered copies of '1984.' When we get 537 of them, we'll send them to every member of the House of Representatives and Senate and to President [sic] Bush and Vice President [sic] Dick Cheney. Feel free to inscribe the book with a note, reminding these fine people that we Americans take the threat to our liberties seriously... I just received a call back from Josh Richman of the Oakland Tribune - Politics & Criminal Justice.

Mr. Richman completely admitted that the newspaper editorial board organized, publicized, and activity participated in this protest of the sitting President of the United States. This is unbelievable!

He did inform me that this protest is already completed and started over a year ago, but the most interesting information he gave me was that there were employees of the newspaper actually sitting in an office, stuffing these books into envelopes, addressing them to members of Congress, and then mailing them. This is absurd!

I asked Mr. Richman if the Oakland Tribune had given up their newspaper status and now become a political action committee.

I've been told that I will also be getting a call from the Editor soon, as they seem to be concerned with where this might lead, and if this does happen I will post updates as they come in.

Here’s an ironic moment. While speaking with Mr. Richman, he asked me what blogs or outlets might be writing about this story and I informed him that I believe it might hit all the main blogs as well as Fox News. When I mentioned FoxNews, he laughed. Now, a public newspaper organizing an anti-Bush protest doesn’t get any more biased than that, so I find this reaction the ultimate hypocrisy, but amazingly it’s the normal response we see from any of the most biased of liberal news sources. After something like this, just how does the Oakland Tribune complain about any news organization being biased?

Please spread this story as far as possible. Email it to friends, blog it, and definitely contact the Oakland Tribune, as well as Fox News. There's no way this should be kept secret, even if it's already completed.

Illegal aliens assult Border Patrol Agent Ignatio Ramos - in Prison

The following is reproduced via firesociety.com:

"Grassfire.org has learned that imprisoned Border Patrol agent Ignacio "Nacho" Ramos has been assaulted in prison by as many as 5 other inmates -- news confirmed by three family members.

The assault occurred at 10:00pm Saturday night (2/3), apparentely following the airing of America's Most Wanted. According to Ramos' uncle:

"Nacho was assaulted Saturday night around 2200 by about five illegal immigrants. He has multiple and severe injuries. They put him in Isolation for now, he has not been allowed to see a doctor since Saturday. They were yelling at him in Spanish, Maten a la migra. which means kill the Border Patrol Agent."

Another family member said Nacho was attacked after he fell asleep Saturday night. Assaulters went after him with repeated blows and kicks. Ramos suffered wounds to his back, shoulder, arms and head. There is concern that Agent Ramos was not given medical treatment after the incident and may not have received medical attention for up to 48 hours. An investigation is expected to be launched Tuesday.

This is precisely the concern Mrs. Monica Ramos expressed in her FireSociety blog entry.

"Ignatio Ramos has been wrongly convicted and now put in harm's way in a prison known to harbor illegal alien drug runners," said Grassfire.org President Steve Elliott. "This is beyond an outrage. Our president must take action immediately to pardon these agents."

Boston Secretary of State William Galvin begs for more illegals

Apparently, Boston is at risk of losing a Congressional seat in 2010 if they're unable to bring the city's population numbers up in the next census. That's okay. Secretary of State William Galvin has a solution, if only they can find a way to add more illegal aliens!

“We need to chase them,” Secretary of State William Galvin said yesterday, stressing the need for an “all local” hunt for everyone living here.

Crucial to the census success: Convincing the estimated 150,000 to 200,000 illegal immigrants that they will simply be counted, not arrested.

“This is for real. A congressional seat is on the line,” said Ali Noorani, executive director of the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition.

“The money to fund many important federal programs is distributed to the states on the basis of population, so everyone in Massachusetts has a major stake in ensuring that we are not shortchanged by failing to get an accurate population count,” warned U.S. Rep. Edward Markey (D-Malden), the senior member of the state’s congressional delegation.

The next U.S. Census kicks off in about three years. The state’s current population is slightly more than 6.5 million.

I've got a suggestion to Mr. Galvin. How about enforcing the immigration laws in your state? I would lay pretty good odds that any money you might lose due to lost federal funding would easily be offset by the reduction in the cost of supporting the illegals. You know? Such things as free medical, free education, welfare, and high crime rates.

Jobs Americans won't do? Americans lining up for vacant Swift jobs

Shocking! Americans want jobs! Who would have thought?

So how long will it take before we see the first signs of outrage that the greedy Americans would dare take these crappy jobs away from the poor migrant workers?

GREELEY - The line of applicants hoping to fill jobs vacated by undocumented workers taken away by immigration agents at the Swift & Co. meat-processing plant earlier this week was out the door Thursday.
Among them was Derrick Stegall, who carefully filled out paperwork he hoped would get him an interview and eventually land him a job as a slaughterer. Two of his friends had been taken away by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and he felt compelled to fill their rubber boots.
"Luckily, they had no wives or family they left behind. But it was still sad. They left their apartments filled with all their stuff. I took two dogs one of them had. The other guy had a cat I gave to my sister," he said.
Greg Bonifacio heard about the job openings on television and brought his passport, his Colorado driver's license, his Social Security card and even a color photograph of himself as a young Naval officer to prove his military service.
"I don't want to hassle with any identification problems because of my last name," said Bonifacio, a 59- year-old Thornton resident of Filipino heritage.
As it turned out, the Colorado Workforce office that was taking applications did not require any identification.
That would come later for those who made it past the interview process.
Bonifacio was hoping to get a job in production or fabrication. So was Nathan Korgan, a former construction worker whose company closed and moved to California.
"I feel bad for the kids, but good for me," said Korgan of Tuesday's raid.
Like many others who had mixed emotions about the raid, Maxine Hernandez said she was upset that families were torn apart, but believes illegal immigrants should not get work using fake documents.
"I guess I'm in the middle," she said. "But I do think they should have planned (the raid) better so that innocent children wouldn't be left behind."
Hernandez, who had gone to the employment office because her husband was there to apply for unemployment insurance, decided to apply for a job at Swift on a whim.
"My whole family used to work there. My mom, my aunt, uncles," she said. "I guess it sort of runs in our blood."

Florida news channel soliciting donations for illegal aliens

The top-rated television station in West Palm Beach, Fla., is calling on viewers to put aside their ''political beliefs'' to help 13 illegal aliens trying to "survive the American Dream" after being displaced by a fire at the home they rent in the city.

Jamie Holmes, a reporter for the NBC affiliate WPTV-TV, avoided referring to the members of the Bravo and Morales families as illegal aliens or undocumented immigrants in an original on-air report, instead describing them as ''the hard-working kind of people which created such a controversy in America this year ... ''

ACLU files lawsuit against State Police over arrest of illegals

The American Civil Liberties Union has sued the State Police seeking the release of a videotape that shows a traffic stop involving illegal immigrants.
The videotape shows the first five minutes of a 70-minute stop on Interstate 95 in July by a trooper who pulled over a van with 14 Guatemalan immigrants after the driver failed to use a turn signal.
Trooper Thomas Chabot detained the 14 people and brought them to Immigration and Customs Enforcement headquarters in Providence, where they now face deportation. An internal investigation reported that Chabot acted appropriately.
The ACLU and civil-rights organizations raised concerns of racial profiling, and pushed for release of the videotape and copies of the department's policies governing enforcement procedures.

So what’s the ACLU’s reason for concern?

The ACLU, in a statement, said there are questions, including "why the trooper, who was on speed radar patrol, chose to leave his post to pull over the driver of this particular vehicle, whose only infraction was failing to use a turn signal, not speeding."

Understandable. How dare the police pull someone over for breaking a law. Especially since the arresting officer was not actually assigned to look for illegal turns.

To understand the absurdity here … one would have to believe a traffic cop who witnesses a person stabbing an elderly woman on the side of the road would not be allowed to make an arrest, due to the fact that the officer is on duty looking for speeders. So, based on the ACLU’s complaint … a police force would now have to assign individual officers to specific offenses and then limit them to arrests on those offenses only.

What worries me about this story is not that the ACLU is so pathetic and corrupt to file such a lawsuit, but more-so that there’s a fair chance that they’ll actually find some quack liberal judge to rule in their favor.

Full citizenship to be granted to almost all illegal aliens

Congress will approve an immigration bill that will grant citizenship rights to most of the 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. after Democrats take control next month, predict both sides on Capitol Hill.
While Republicans have been largely splintered on the issue of immigration reform, Democrats have been fairly unified behind the principle that the illegals currently in the country should get citizenship rights without having to first leave the country.
Democrats in both chambers say they will start with some form of legislation first drafted by Sens. John McCain, Arizona Republican, and Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat, which was the basis for the bill that was approved earlier this year by the Senate.
With President Bush as an ally in the White House, he worries, Democrats will proceed next year with legislation to ultimately make citizens out of most of the illegals now in the country. And Republicans, still reeling from deep losses in the November elections, will give up the fight.
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, California Republican, said he expects an immigration-reform bill that doesn't deport illegal aliens to be the only significant legislation to come out of the new Democratic Congress and win Mr. Bush's approval.
"The only real legislation that can be expected from Congress is amnesty," he said. "If they come up with a plan and the president is behind it, it will pick up a lot of our own members."
Republicans also expressed little confidence that their leadership team is committed to blocking amnesty.

What does Tom Tancredo think?

Most likely, he said, Democrats will succeed at undoing plans to build 700 miles of fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border.
"The thing that's in the greatest jeopardy right now is the fence, because they do have the appropriations process and that's probably the one they can stop," Mr. Tancredo said.

Hugo Chavez will now continue to rule Venezuela - following the guidance of his good friend Fidel Castro – and the United States will continue to ignore him. Or will they?

Via NewsMax, George Putnum relates the warnings of Washington Times journalist, Frank Gaffney Jr. regarding the rise of the radical anti-American left in Latin America.:

Gaffney points to the emergence of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez as the oil-rich heir to Fidel Castro's revolutionary ambitions. With Chavez's money and Castro's coaching, these core leftists are seeking power through the ballot box and then using it to destroy constitutional processes.
We have paid scant attention as Bolivia and Argentina have moved squarely into the Chavez-Castro orbit. And two other targets are Peru and Ecuador. The region's largest country, Brazil, is in the hands of Castro's ally, Luiz Inácio "Lula" da Silva.
Among other things, this sinister cabal is poised to return Nicaragua to the longtime authoritarian Daniel Ortega and the Sandinistas. The only bright light has been the election of Felipe Calderon. But, as Gaffney warns, Calderon must not support or restore to office Fox's first foreign minister, Jorge Castaneda.
Castaneda personally engineered closer ties to the Castro apparatus in Cuba, encouraged the narco-terrorists in Colombia, and strove to re-establish Danny Ortega and his Sandinistas in Nicaragua.

Would you be surprised to find that Robert Pastor is once again connected to it all? Recognize this name? If not, read THIS before proceeding.

Castaneda is tightly tied to Dr. Robert Pastor who was executive director of the Linowitz Commission and is credited with negotiating a treaty to turn over the Panama Canal to Panama. Pastor co-authored a 1989 book with his longtime friend, Castaneda, who began his career as a member of the Mexican Communist Party. And it was Castaneda who published the admiring biography of the revolutionary hero Che Guevara.
Pastor argued in a Council on Foreign Affairs paper — "North America's Second Decade" — that the U.S. would benefit by giving up its national sovereignty. He wrote that countries are benefited when they change their international sovereignty policies. And Pastor has referred to North America as a "bully that needs to be restrained."
These are the people — Chavez, Castro, Castaneda, Pastor — the whole cabal, who would convert pro-U.S. neighbors throughout Latin America.

Illegal alien brutally murders 5’2 actress

A 19-year-old construction worker flipped out, hitting and strangling indie actress Adrienne Shelly with a bed sheet because she dared to call him a "son of a bitch," police sources said yesterday.

Ecuadorian illegal immigrant Diego Pillco told cops he took that insult literally and became enraged during a confrontation with the pint-sized actress last week over noise he was making in the apartment below her Greenwich Village office, sources said.

A native of the city of Cuenca, Pillco arrived in the United States in the summer of 2005 after paying smugglers $12,000 to sneak him over the Mexican border, law-enforcement sources said.

Pillco eventually made his way to Brooklyn, where he moved into a basement apartment with his brother Wilson - who had arrived months earlier - at 328 Prospect Ave., where a cousin also lived.

His landlord, Louis Hernandez, hired Pillco to work as a part-time helper for his construction company, even though - by his own admission - he knew the immigrant did not have legal working papers.

At first, he denied any knowledge of Shelly's death.

"He was acting like nothing happened," one source said. "He was like ice."

But after about a half-hour of interrogation, Pillco began confessing to the murder in a matter-of-fact manner, the source said.

Just doing jobs Americans won’t do, like … CONSTRUCTION!

I continue to believe that this problem will go away if enough lawsuits are filed. When people start getting burned financially for incidents like this - it will stop cold.

The family of the victim should file a lawsuit against Louis Hernandez (the landlord who hired an illegal alien). It is by his act that brought an illegal alien murderer into a position to endanger and eventually murder a legal tenant.

Illegal alien drunk driver kills three American students

Almost a daily occurrence now, yet still we are forced to listen to our government leaders tell us how important illegals are to our country.

Three people – two North Carolina State University students and a 16-year-old – have been killed by an illegal alien, who allegedly was driving drunk, and already had a record of crime in the United States.
Authorities say Pastor Rios Sanchez, 55, is expected back in a North Carolina court on Nov. 15 on charges he killed Helen Meghan Hughes, 22, of Summerville, S.C., Jennifer Carter, 18, of Jacksonville, N.C., and Hughes' stepbrother, 16-year-old Ben Leonard.
The two women were students at North Carolina State and all three were returning to Raleigh recently when a car crossed the center line about five miles from Sanford and collided head on with Hughes' station wagon. Two died instantly and Leonard died after being taken to Central Carolina Hospital, Highway Patrol Trooper K.T. Hill said of the Oct. 27 crash.
Immigration officer Tom O'Connell said Sanchez had a residency card but it apparently was forged. And District Judge Donald L. Boone noted that the bond seemed "really low" for the counts in the case.
Authorities also said Sanchez had pleaded guilty to driving without a license a year ago. And court records show he was accused of a similar count in March and another in April. One count was dismissed and Sanchez failed to show up for court on the other.

Mexico's ambassador gives deadline for North American Union

In a panel discussion on U.S.-Mexico relations last Tuesday at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Enrique Berruga, Mexico's ambassador to the United Nations, came right out and said a North American Union is needed – and even provided a deadline.

Berruga said the merger must be complete in the next eight years before the U.S. baby boomer retirement wave hits full force.

There have been conferences, academic papers, mock student parliaments and secret meetings on a confederation of the U.S., Canada and Mexico into future North American Union, but, until now, few officials of any of the three countries have publicly called for the creation of a European Union-style merger.
The discussion was organized by the UTSA Mexico Center and the San Antonio campus of Mexico's National Autonomous University.

Even Canada gets it! Shoots down amnesty for illegals

Canada, an immigration-hungry nation, has ruled out amnesty for an estimated 200,000 illegal aliens within its borders because of the unfairness of such a policy.
According to a letter obtained by the Toronto Globe and Mail, Canadian officials have decided it would not be fair to those immigrants who have applied legally and are waiting in line.
Allowing illegal workers to stay would likely "encourage more illegal immigration," noted Linda Arseneau of Citizenship and Immigration Canada's ministerial enquiries division in a letter to the Universal Workers Union.
"Even a small increase in the number who decide to come here and stay here illegally based on the hope of regularization would simply recreate the very problem the proposal is supposed to fix," the letter says.
Meanwhile, in the U.S., President Bush continues to promote the unpopular idea of an amnesty plan for as many as 20 million illegal aliens in his country.

One word of caution however. If Bush’s partnership with Canada and Mexico for open borders and the North American Union succeed … amnesty won’t even be needed. Canada may simply realize this and if so … there would be no reason to risk the political fallout that would come from public support of an amnesty program.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bush follow a similar path. Simply ignore the issue until it no longer matters.

Venezuela helping terrorists enter the U.S. ?

A Congressional Homeland Security report accuses Venezuela of providing support that could help terrorists infiltrate the United States through Texas' porous border with Mexico.

The Subcommittee on Investigations of the House Homeland Security Committee found that the government of President Hugo Chavez has issued thousands of identity documents that could help terrorists elude immigration checks and illegally enter the United States.

Federal law enforcement personnel told the subcommittee's staff that it is difficult to provide the total number of Special Interest Aliens entering the U.S. because they pay large amounts of money, between $15,000 and $60,000, to employ the more effective Mexican alien smuggling organizations and are less likely to be apprehended.

McCaul is concerned that Chavez is turning Venezuela into a staging area for terrorism in America's backyard, "We know that Mr. Chavez in Venezuela has openly embraced the Islamic jihad world. We know that Hezbollah operatives have been given safe haven in Venezuela. So the threat is very real."

Illegals caught in fake border patrol vehicle

Thirty illegal entrants were found in a vehicle that had been made up to look like a U.S. Border Patrol transport van, authorities said.

The vehicle was seized Wednesday near San Miguel on the Tohono O'odham Indian Reservation about 70 miles southwest of Tucson.

The van had horizontal green stripes along the sides, Border Patrol emblems on its doors and the words “Border Patrol” written across the rear. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Casa Grande station came in contact with the van while responding to activity in the area.

After seeing the agents, the driver turned the van around and tried to return to Mexico.

Authorities said the male driver abandoned the van about 100 yards from the border and sprinted into Mexico, leaving behind the 30 illegal immigrants.

All 30 were taken to the law-enforcement center on the reservation and processed for illegally entering the United States.

I guess the question now is … were they returned to Mexico or will they be released into the U.S.? You know which one my money is on.

Illegals file lawsuit against Wendy's

This is a bizarre story. Apparently Wendys was hiring illegal workers and given the chance to file legal papers which would make these illegals ... legal? Okay, that's confusing enough but now it seems that because Wendy's did not file the legal papers before a cutoff date ... the illegal aliens who were illegally working at a restaurant who hired them illegally have filed a lawsuit.

Errr ... right.

A group of illegal immigrants who worked for Wendy's International Inc. is suing the restaurant chain because the company fired them after discovering it had missed a deadline for joining a federal program that would have helped them attain legal status.
The lawsuit, filed Friday in state district court in Houston, is a companion to a similar class-action suit filed last month in Dallas against Dublin, Ohio-based Wendy's, its subsidiary Cafe Express and the Houston-based business law firm Boyar & Miller.
The immigrants, who worked for Cafe Express, are seeking unspecified damages.
Between the two lawsuits, 40 illegal immigrants say they were fired after the company recently found that Boyar & Miller, the law firm Wendy's had hired, never filed paperwork for a 2001 legalization program that allowed immigrants with employer sponsorship or an American spouse to apply for citizenship.
Once the discovery was made, Wendy's was forced by law to fire the employees because of their illegal status.

I think Wendy's might be getting off lucky. If I had MY way ... all competing fast food chains in the area would also be filing lawsuits against them for unfair business practices and illegal hiring. All this could have been avoided if Wendy's had simply hired AMERICAN CITIZENS rather than illegals. Or am I to believe there are no American kids willing to work at Wendys?

I'm officially never eating Wendy's again. They ought to be next in line on the boycott list, right behind Miller Brewing Co.

Mexico furious over border fence vote; Why do we care?

Mexico said Friday it will try to persuade President Bush not to sign a bill that would extend a wall along the border in an effort to stop illegal immigrants.

Foreign Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez strongly criticized the legislation to build a 700-mile border fence, which the Senate approved Friday and sent to Bush to sign.
Derbez said Mexico will send a letter to the U.S. government strongly condemning the measure. Asked by a reporter if the government would try to "dissuade" Bush from signing the bill into law, he replied, "Without a doubt."

Derbez's remarks came a day after his office issued a statement saying the border fence would harm relations between Mexico and the United States. The Foreign Relations Department said that only comprehensive immigration reform would stop millions of Mexicans from sneaking across the border into the U.S.

There's Bush's favorite phrase again. "Comprehensive immigration reform." Whenever the word "comprehensive" is used ... what they mean is 'amnesty and open borders'.

Why does Mexico believe they can meddle in U.S. Security decisions?

The answer to that is ... because they've been successful! George Bush has spent the last six years pandering his North American Union and open borders dream with Canada and Mexico and you can bet this Senate vote violates many secret handshake agreements between the three countries.

A border fence simply doesn't fit in with the plan for open borders, and sleazy Vincente Fox is not happy at all to have something like this endanger his connections to the trillion dollar drug business.

My gut feeling is that he doesn't have much to worry about, and he probably knows it. Even if Bush does sign this bill, it's totally meaningless until the fence is actually built. I'll believe it when I see it.

Two years from now, the 2008 election debate will not be whether to sign these bills, but rather why construction is not completed.

Dallas School District importing teachers from Mexico; Bypassing Americans

I've had about all I can take. What does it take to motivate Americans?

The Dallas Independent School District has signed an agreement with Mexico's education secretary that will let Dallas hire 40 bilingual teachers next year from south of the border, according to Superintendent Michael Hinojosa. The arrangement clears some red tape by allowing teachers into the United States on three-year work visas.

State law requires that Spanish-speaking students in elementary schools be taught by Spanish-speaking teachers. Last year, 945 classrooms in DISD did not meet that requirement. This school year, the district set out to hire 450 bilingual teachers and is close to meeting that goal.

Are you telling me they can't find any bi-lingual teachers in the U.S.? I'll stipulate that it might be difficult to find 450 bilingual teachers living in the Dallas area, but how about bringing them in from other areas? The answer? Cheap labor!

Where are the teacher's Unions on this? Still supporting open borders?

Judge gives away Texan's ranch to illegal aliens

Sick! Just disgusting!

This is over a year old, and I'm not sure how I missed it ... but it's worth reposting for those of you who might have also missed it.

Two immigrants now own a 70-acre Arizona ranch seized from an anti-immigrant activist.

A judge this week signed documents granting the ranch once owned by Casey Nethercott -- to Fatima del Socorro Leiva Medina and Edwin Alfredo Mancia Gonzales.

Nethercott is serving five years in prison stemming from a 2003 incident on a ranch in Hebbronville, Texas, where he confronted the pair.

Nethercott, who's with the group Ranch Rescue, was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Nethercott didn't respond to a lawsuit filed on behalf of the two illegal immigrants from El Salvador.

A judge ordered him to pay 500-thousand dollars. The suit also named Ranch Rescue founder Jack Foote and owners of the ranch in Hebbronville -- Joe and Betty Sutton. The Suttons settled for 100-thousand dollars. Foote must pay 500-thousand dollars.
Leiva and Mancia have temporary legal status as crime victims as they seek to remain in the U-S.

Police chief refuses to enforce immigration laws; even after officer murdered by illegal alien

Houston's police chief is standing behind his policy of not enforcing immigration laws after an illegal immigrant was charged with killing a police officer during a routine traffic stop.

Chief Harold Hurtt instead directed blame for Thursday's slaying of Officer Rodney Johnson, who was shot in the face and head in his patrol car, toward federal agencies charged with securing the border.

"If the government would fulfill their responsibility of protecting the border," Hurtt said Friday, "we probably would not be standing here today."

Hurtt's policy prohibits officers from questioning suspects about their residency.

And don’t think THAT’S the worst of it! There’s even more!

According to police, Quintero was deported as an illegal felon in 1999 after being charged with indecency with a child. His record also includes an arrest for driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and for failing to stop and give information following an automobile accident.

If anyone has EVER been more deserving of a full force phone and email attack from the blogosphere … it’s Chief Harold Hurtt. PLEASE contact this moron and tell him to DO HIS JOB or resign!

Georgia judge tosses voter IDs

A state judge yesterday rejected a Georgia law requiring voters to show government-issued photo identification, writing in his decision, "This cannot be." Fulton County Superior Court Judge T. Jackson Bedford Jr. said the law, pushed by Gov. Sonny Perdue (R) to fight voter fraud, violates the state constitution because it disenfranchises citizens who are otherwise qualified to vote. State officials vowed to appeal Bedford's ruling to the Georgia Supreme Court before the Nov. 7 general election. The timing of the judge's decision could have political ramifications in Washington. The House is set today to vote on legislation that would require voters in 2008 to present a valid photo identification that "could not have been obtained without proof of citizenship."

This is meaningless actually, being that it’s sure to be pushed to the Supreme court anyway, but still a good example of what we’re up against with liberal judges who feel their own personal views and desires outweigh the voters wishes.

Liberals want to cry and moan and accuse George Bush of being a dictator, all while being unable to even comprehend the meaning of “democracy.” How exactly DID they claim the title of “Democratic Party” anyway? They should simply be called the “Minority Rules Party.”

House passes bill requiring photo IDs for voters

House voted Wednesday to require Americans to show proof of citizenship in order to vote, and the Senate moved to build a 700-mile fence along the Mexican border as Republicans sharpened attacks on illegal immigration before the midterm elections.
The 228-196 House vote on a new photo ID plan and the Senate's consideration of the fence were both part of a get-tough policy on illegal immigrants that Republicans have embraced after Congress' failure to agree on broader legislation that would set a path for undocumented workers to attain citizenship.

Things seem to be rolling just months before the November elections, but are these last minute actions by Republican leaders nothing more than an illusion? This is a great first step but I'll believe it when I see it, and even if this bill gets all the way through the Senate and is signed by the President ... the ACLU will make an attempt to drag it through the court system as unconstitutional.

It's not that hard these days to find a judge willing to impose their own personal views over the wishes of all Americans and it's highly likely that someone will slap this down, at least long enough to get through the next election cycle. But even so, it's promising.

***Update: Not that it's really an update, but more just to point out that democrats actually balked at this bill. The same party which drags every election through the court system arguing about election fraud is opposed to verifying that voters are actually ELIGIBLE TO VOTE. Absurd.

The House yesterday passed legislation that would require voters to show a valid photo identification in federal elections over the overwhelming objections of Democrats who compared the bill to segregation-era measures aimed at disenfranchising Southern blacks.

The Federal Election Integrity Act was approved on a nearly party-line 228-196 vote. Republicans backed the bill 224-3, with three nonvoters; Democrats opposed it 192-4, with five nonvoters. They were joined in opposition by the House's one independent member.

Again, we hear the nonsensical argument that apparently suggests that Democrats believe Southern blacks are not capable or smart enough to get themselves a valid ID card. It never ceases to amaze me why blacks in America would support these morons.

I'm trying to find the roll call on this. I'll post the names of the three Republicans who voted against it as soon as I find it, but it's not hard to guess who they are.

Federal agents arrest 120 illegals

Via the Rocky Mountain News:

About 70 federal agents descended on a site near Buckley Air Force Base today and arrested at least 120 suspected illegal immigrants who were building military housing.

In what may be the largest immigration raid in state history, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, some from as far away as California, loaded the men they detained onto three buses and took them away to be processed. Some family members arrived at the construction site, panicked at the possibility a loved one would be deported.

Okay, we've seen this before. Next step ... deportation. Will we actually finish the job now, or will we simply release them back into the county once again? Talk is cheap.

Conspiracy uncovered; Illegal alien workers being leased out like slaves

Two leaders of a nationwide employee-leasing conspiracy, that leased out hundreds of illegal aliens throughout the United States, pleaded guilty before US District Judge Kenneth Marra in the Southern District of Florida, while a third defendant was sentenced, according to the US Justice Department.

Jaroslaw Sawczuk, 39, a Polish citizen of Coral Springs, FL, and Jozef Bronislaw Bogacki, 43, a native of Poland and naturalized US citizen residing in Clearwater, FL, pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to transport, house and encourage illegal aliens to remain in the United States. They also pleaded guilty to visa, wire, mail, and tax fraud, as well as money laundering.

Judge Marra sentenced a third defendant, Pavel Preus, 39, a Polish citizen residing in Pompano Beach, FL, who pleaded guilty to similar charges on September 13, 2005. Preus was sentenced to 37 months in prison, 36 months of supervised release, and ordered to pay $950,000 for unpaid payroll taxes.

The other suspects -- Lucia Kanis, 31, a Slovak citizen; Ivan Kanis, 39, a Slovak citizen residing in the Slovak Republic; and Andor Pikali, 37, a Slovak citizen who resided in Coral Springs -- are federal fugitives and believed to be overseas.

Bogacki pleaded guilty to six counts, Sawczuk to three, of a 26-count indictment that alleges from 1995 to the present, the defendants conspired to provide unauthorized workers, mostly East Europeans who had entered the United States on tourist visas, to American companies with whom the defendants had contracted to provide legally authorized foreign workers.

The indictment alleges that more than 550 illegal aliens were brought into the United States by the defendants. According to the indictment, the alien workers obtained tourist visas to enter the United States and were employed illegally in the midwest and southeastern United States on farms, in dairies and in factories.

The defendants contracted with American employers to provide workers, for whom the defendants were to pay payroll taxes and workers' compensation deductions. During the course of the conspiracy, the defendants failed to pay $6 million in payroll taxes and laundered over $20 million.

The remaining defendants face maximum penalties of up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $500,000. In addition, the government is seeking forfeiture of the defendants' assets. A forfeiture hearing is scheduled for November 28, 2006. Bogacki and Sawczuk's sentencing is scheduled for December 15, 2006.

"The defendants, as charged, chose profits over compliance with our country's immigration and employment laws," said U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta of the Southern District of Florida.
"In using illegal aliens to generate their profits, the defendants not only took advantage of these individuals, but also potentially compromised the safety of our citizens," he added.

"In this case, the defendants laundered roughly $20 million and failed to pay $6 million in taxes as part of this illegal employee leasing scheme," said Julie Myers, Department of Homeland Assistant Secretary for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The joint investigation, known as Operation Pisces, started in 2002. The investigation was led by the Kansas City Office of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Group Supervisor Doug Bemiss; the Department of Labor, Office of the Inspector General; Labor Racketeering and Fraud Investigations, Special Agent Sean Kilcoyne; and the Miami IRS field office, Special Agent Kenneth Murphy. The Miami Office of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service also provided support for the investigation, according to the released statement.

You see, Congress just returned from its summer break and is holding a short, few-week legislative session before adjourning for the November elections. And now, more than ever -- with sagging poll numbers staring them in the face and with the elections right around the corner -- they are willing to listen to the demands of the American people. That means we have less than a month to demand they pass the REAL conservative agenda that they have scuttled all of these years. That means...

We have until the end of the month to pass legislation that will secure the borders and stop illegal immigration ! So-called "comprehensive solutions" and amnesty programs MUST be tabled!

We have until the end of the month to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to responsible oil exploration to reduce our nation's dependence on Middle Eastern Oil. Even with the new discovery in the Gulf of Mexico, the United States needs to assert our energy independence once and for all to control prices and inflation and to end the power that other countries have over us.

We have until the end of the month to confirm the President's judicial nominees to the federal bench. President Bush has started the ball rolling by nominating and re-nominating five judges -- some that liberals in Congress have been obstructing for years. Our conservative leaders MUST confirm these judges this session -- even if that means deploying the "Nuclear Option." There can be NO MCCAIN INSPIRED COMPROMISES!

We have until the end of the month to permanently eliminate the "death tax," which allows the federal government to tax income twice -- once when you earn it and a second time when you die.

We have until the end of the month to finally confirm John Bolton as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations.

And we have until the end of the month to force Congress to enact real measures to support the President and renew our commitment to fight the War on Terror!
Starting today, we will continually bombard Congress with that no-nonsense six point agenda but we need your help!

Our conservative leaders must KNOW -- without a doubt -- that they must pass these six items! And if they fail...

Priority #1: Secure The Borders
Some areas of this country have been taken over by illegal aliens:
In Atkinson County, Georgia, so many illegal aliens have settled in the tiny town of Pearson that Serafico Jaimes opened up a Spanish-language video store and began flying the Mexican flag next to the American flag. "This is our town now, too," he announced.

One Atkinson County resident whose family has lived in the county since the 19th century summed it up: "I have children and grandchildren. They're going to become second-class citizens. And we're going to be a third world country here if we don't do something about it."

During a "SaveOurState" rally in Maywood, CA recently, a group of illegal aliens and their supporters removed the American flag from a post office and replaced it with the Mexican flag. A group of approximately 200 illegal-supporters carried signs reading "We are the only legal owners of this continent."

A coalition of Texas sheriffs recently issued a warning that Arabic-speaking individuals are learning Spanish and integrating into Mexican culture before paying smugglers to sneak them into the United States. The Texas Sheriffs' Border Coalition believes these likely terrorists and drug smugglers are being aided by the Mexican military to get them across the border.

But these types of stories are not just coming out of Georgia, California and Texas. The same thing is happening in the Northwest, Midwest, and New England.

Four border state governors -- two Republicans and two Democrats -- see the problem for what it is and wrote a letter to House Speaker Dennis Hastert and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist demanding that Congress IMMEDIATELY pass immigration legislation.
Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, Rick Perry of Texas, Bill Richardson of New Mexico and Janet Napolitano of Arizona told the leadership:
"Instead of holding dozens of [congressional] field hearings... we urge you to get back to work and pass legislation that... solves this crisis once and for all."

Writing "from the front lines," the governors said the "explosion" of the illegal-alien population in California, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico has gone so far that "citizens and non-citizens alike are losing respect for the rule of law."

These four speak for people in all 50 states, as polls continue to show. More than two-thirds of Americans are furious at the Senate for voting earlier to give amnesty, welfare, and Social Security benefits to illegal aliens already in the United States. More than two-thirds of Americans strongly support the House bill, which makes no mention of amnesty and would shut down the border so tight that even a sidewinder couldn't slither through. So what are our conservative leaders waiting for? Are they confused about what their constituents want?

Robert Rector, a highly respected researcher at the Heritage Foundation, said of the Senate amnesty bill:
"[It] would be the most dramatic change in immigration law in 80 years, allowing an estimated 103 million persons to legally immigrate to the U.S. over the next 20 years -- fully one third of the current population of the United States."
That figure was later amended to about 67 million after the Senate passed the amnesty bill -- but if Rector's nightmare becomes reality, what would happen to America?
Consider the fact that illegal aliens make up more than 100,000 convicted felons in our state prisons -- AND MORE THAN 27 PERCENT OF THE FEDERAL PRISON POPULATION!
Consider the story of a Denver teacher who reported that the Denver public school system had a 65 percent drop out/flunk out rate. And 30 percent of the teachers weren't coming back. Why? "The classrooms featured so much incompatible diversity that it created horrific tension, stabbings and death."

The Congressional Budget Office now claims that the cost of enacting the Senate amnesty bill would reach almost $127 billion. And their figures match estimates by Heritage that the additional welfare costs ALONE would reach -- are you ready for this -- $50 billion!

Priority #2: Reduce Dependence on Foreign Oil, Including Opening ANWR to Responsible Drilling.

If you've gassed up your car in the past couple of days, you may have noticed that the price dropped slightly -- at my station, it's $2.86 for a gallon regular unleaded.
Did you say to yourself, "Hey, that's a great price!" If so, you've run up the white flag. Americans shouldn't be paying nearly $3.00 for gas. We are too dependent on oil controlled by sheikhs, mullahs, ayatollahs and banana republic dictators. That's why we MUST develop a small sector of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR)! According to the Department of Energy that area could produce "[A]bout one million barrels of oil per day - about 20% of our domestic daily production."

In addition, experts believe that drilling in ANWR would also:
Replace the oil we lost because of the devastation caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Replace more than 30 years worth of Saudi oil imports and 58 years worth of Iraqi oil imports. Moreover, it would take a big bite out of the $150 billion -- that's $150,000,000,000 -- the United States spends each and every year importing foreign oil.

Create over 736,000 new jobs -- that's nearly three quarters of a million -- in the United States.
Raise more than $29 billion in new federal tax revenues -- that's $29,000,000,000 -- and over $31 billion in new state tax revenues over a 15 year period -- without raising taxes.
Yet, Senate liberals voted against ANWR exploration at least nine times over the last five years.
And House liberals voted against ANWR exploration at least six times in the last five years.
Opening ANWR is a win-win issue for the American people. Now our conservative leaders must rally the troops.

Priority #3: On Judicial Nominations, Stand Up to Senate Obstructionists or Invoke The Nuclear Option to Confirm Conservative Judges. And what about the President's nominees to the federal bench?

Recently, President Bush sent five nominations to the Senate; Terrence Boyle, William Haynes, William Myers, Michael Wallace and Norman Smith. You already know some of these names. Senate liberals have obstructed some of these fine individuals for years -- not even allowing a fair up-or-down vote on their confirmations. When President Bush nominated these superbly qualified people last week, he made the following statement at an event for Bob Corker -- who is running for Majority Leader Bill Frist's seat in the Senate, "I need a U.S. senator who understands that we need people on the bench who will strictly interpret the Constitution and not use the bench to legislate." Truer words were never spoken!

Isn't it time for Bill Frist and the other GOP Senate leaders to tell liberals in their own party like John McCain and Lindsey Graham to quit playing Patty-Cake with Democrats? We should demand that a united conservative majority bring ALL conservative nominees to the floor for fair up-or-down votes! And if that means invoking the "Nuclear Option," then so be it. Let's get these nominees on the bench once and for all, because if Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid get their wish, it will never happen!

Priority #4: Permanently Repeal the Death Tax Once And For All. We pay enough taxes while we are alive. We shouldn't be forced to stick our children and grandchildren with a large tax bill when we die. The relatively small amount of revenue the death tax generates for Uncle Sam cannot justify robbing the graves of hard-working Americans who have earned the right to pass on their assets to their children.

And let's not accept any excuses! We are sick of hearing Republican leaders in the Senate say, "We can't do it. If we try to repeal the death tax again, the liberals will simply filibuster again."
Conservatives control the majority. They must start acting like it! Bring the death tax to a vote EVERY WEEK... force the liberals to filibuster the repeal of the death tax again and again and again before they must face the wrath of the voters!

Priority #5: Confirm John Bolton. Liberals have blocked the appointment of John Bolton -- our no-nonsense, tough-talking Ambassador to the United Nations -- for far too long.
And just a few days ago, "Republican In Name Only" (RINO), Senator Lincoln Chafee shocked everyone by REFUSING to support John Bolton.

Chafee's actions have massive repercussions. His lack of support will give the liberals the excuse and the ammunition they need to continue to obstruct the nomination of this fine man!
And if Bolton is NOT confirmed before Congress adjourns, there is a good chance he will be forced to step aside and President Bush will be forced to appoint someone to the liking of the hate-America crowd at the U.N. and Kofi Annan.

If Bolton is not confirmed, the United States will be sending a clear message to Secretary General Annan that it's business as usual at the United Nations -- that Oil-for-Food scams, United Nations Internet pedophile rings and sex scandals in the Congo ARE the order of business! That's the wrong message to send!

Iran and North Korea are flexing their nuclear muscle and Hezbollah, Hamas and al-Qaeda are becoming more aggressive against the United States and our allies.
Right now, the world is a very dangerous place!

We need John Bolton's firm hand at the United Nations more than ever!
If Bolton is not confirmed by the Senate, the liberals -- who have obstructed his nomination -- and the America-haters all over the world will WIN and the American people and the world will LOSE!

Priority #6: Win The War On Terror. Last month, a solitary federal judge appointed by Jimmy Carter had the audacity to tell the President of the United States to stop gathering intelligence from a foreign enemy during wartime.

And five years after 9-11, politicians are still discussing whether it's okay to gather intelligence by monitoring phone calls that known and suspected terrorists make to the United States!
Several months ago, the United States Supreme Court sided with Osama Bin Laden's personal driver -- a blood-thirsty terrorist by the name of Salim Ahmed Hamdan -- and declared that the President did NOT have the authority to conduct military tribunals to deal with these pathetic specimens of humanity.

While it is clear that our judiciary is out of control, Congress can intercede and affirm a simple fact that Americans have known for decades -- that the President DOES INDEED have the authority to conduct war and keep Americans safe from terrorism. In fact, legislation is already on the calendar that will address both of those issues. It shouldn't be a difficult task to pass this important legislation that can save American lives -- yet conservative leaders in Congress have had unexplainable difficulty in the recent past! Enough is enough!

Do we need to continually remind our elected leaders that an election is coming up in a little more than 60 days? The time for excuses is long past.Republican leaders MUST eradicate the death tax, secure the borders, open up ANWR to drilling, invoke the nuclear option, confirm John Bolton and support the President in the War on Terror.

Anything less is simply unacceptable!

The House voted for the second time in a year to erect a fence along a third of the U.S.-Mexican border, part of a Republican effort to keep illegal immigration an issue before voters.

A new 700 miles of double-layered fencing won approval on a 283-138 vote, a bigger margin than last December when the House passed it as part of a broader bill that also would have made being an illegal immigrant a felony. The nearly 2,000-mile border now has about 75 miles of fencing.

Only one problem ...

The bill passed Thursday doesn't pay for the fence. Republicans, estimating the cost at more than $2 billion, said that will be covered in a later spending bill. Democrats estimated the fence would cost $7 billion, based on information from the Department of Homeland Security on costs per mile of a double-layer fence.

"This is nothing more than political gamesmanship in the run-up to the midterm elections. Sounds good. Does nothing," said Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla.

I have to say that I'm hesitant to jump up and down in excitement. Even if this bill DOES make it to Bush's desk, and even if he DOES sign it ... we all know how little that meant with the National Guard promise.

Not only is this meaningless until it's built, it also fails to cover issues such as enforcing employment laws, or what most conservatives are really concerned with, which is amnesty.

There are so many other immediate reforms that could have been adopted this year that would have strengthened immigration enforcement, closed deportation loopholes immediately, and provided true relief at the border. (And don't even get me started on this administration's renewed laxity at the front door, which has been thrown open to tens of thousands of new Saudi student visa holders while enforcement against millions of current visa overstayers remain virtually non-existent.)

The 700-mile fence vote is an election season gesture, and grass-roots conservatives who have watched the GOP squander away this issue for six years are not going to be appeased by mid-September 2006 gesture politics.

Who is Patrick Quigley?

Great Brother, Great Friend. Patrick J. Quigley IV lived in 21 places in 40 years, and at school he and his sister, Ruth Quigley-Lawrence, were always in the same grade, though she was 11 months older. "I always knew who I was going to play with on the playground, I always knew who I was eating lunch with," she recalled. "He was the slowest eater."

The siblings had their own version of Korean, different from the one their mother taught them. They ended up together in classes at Rutgers, and she married her brother's roommate and best friend. Mr. Quigley lived with them for a year, when his consulting job brought him to her company, and he took over her desk when she left.

Their older brother, John, said that Patrick chose a few things to do well, and did them very well. " He was just very even, very focused," he said.

Last summer Mr. Quigley, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and his wife, Patricia, bought a house in Wellesley, Mass., to put down roots. Their two children are Rachel, 6, and Leah, who was born in October.

Mr. Quigley was on Flight 175 on Sept. 11." Some people you like and you don't know why Â yeah, he was like one of those guys," said his father, Patrick Quigley Jr. "I guess you would've liked him if you met him."

Pat and I were teenage and early adult friends who shared a passion for Baseball and good times. I spent many summers with Pat playing baseball for our hometown and traveling around the county for our games.

I also attended high school and college with Pat, then eventually grew apart after college graduation as we each began a new life. Pat was a good friend anda lott of fun to be with. He loved life and was passionate about most things that he pursued.

When Leah Quigley, now 11 months old, started making recognizable sounds, her first was ''da da da.'' As normal as that might seem, her relatives and caretakers did not find it the least bit cute. They tried to distract her with mugging and giggling, hoping to make her say something else, anything else. But only after Leah had mastered her da-da-das did she move on, in her own good time, to the ma-ma-mas.
Thirty-four days before Leah's birth, her dad, Patrick J. Quigley IV, woke up early. He got unusually flustered trying to find and iron a clean pair of pants. He kissed his wife, Patti, goodbye. Then he hopped in a limo to make his plane, United Airlines Flight 175. The 40-year-old Wellesley businessman sat in the first row of first class for the last and unknowable chapter of his life.
In the year since hijackers piloted her husband's plane into the World Trade Center, Patti gave birth. She arranged a memorial service, a baptism, and then, when some of Patrick's remains were identified, a funeral. She had her wedding ring stolen. She got her older daughter, Rachel, off training wheels and through kindergarten, a family vacation, and the beginning of first grade. She clung to her own sanity.
In her even-keeled fashion, Patti found the ''da da da'' episode more funny than heartbreaking. ''It's just the sound babies make first,'' she told her worried loved ones.
Yet the episode reminded Patti of the ordeals that are still to come, the kinds of trials that will strike even after a year or two or three of intense mourning.
''When is she going to ask?'' Patti wonders about her baby girl, who doesn't yet realize whom, or how much, she has lost. How will Patti describe the ''da da'' who tried through two years of doctors and tests and anguish to have Leah, the father who was so convinced of Leah's athleticism - from all her kicking in the womb - that he was already planning a basketball hoop for the driveway?
''I don't even know what I'm going to say when that day comes,'' Patti said.

Three Days in Israel

The following video is extremely graphic and hard to watch, but I urge everyone to watch it anyway. It is almost impossible to really know what it's truly like to live with terror on a daily basis, and we must do our best to educate ourselves so we don't one day find ourselves experiencing it with our children, or worse yet ... without our children.

I feel compelled to preach a little here, but I must say to anyone who says "I just don't want to subject myself to this stuff"... try to understand that part of the reason we're in the situation we are right now ... is because we've closed our eyes to it for this long. Please, let's open our eyes to the realities of the world, as brutal as they are, and as ugly as they are ... and let it motivate us to do whatever we can to make sure it never becomes a part of our daily lives.

Miller Beer sponsors illegal alien march

Boycott Miller Brewing Co. products

As reported in the Chicago Tribune:

This time, as demonstrators march from Chinatown to House Speaker Dennis Hastert's (R-Ill.) Batavia office this weekend, they will have Miller Brewing Co., as a sponsor. The brewer has paid more than $30,000 for a planning convention, materials and newspaper ads publicizing the event. The support of a major corporation for a controversial political cause shows how fierce the competition has become to woo the growing market of Latino consumers. For Miller, the march offered a special chance to catch up. This spring the brewer drew the ire of pro-immigrant forces over contributions to U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.), who sponsored legislation that would crack down on illegal immigrants. That prompted a short-lived boycott by some Latino groups. Now, march advertisements feature not just the organizing committee's trademark blue globe but Miller's logo and a Spanish translation of its "Live Responsibly" slogan, a company effort to build goodwill among Latinos.

Labor unions remain the movement's backbone with four major unions bringing at least 600 marchers on buses from throughout Chicago. Religious groups have been key too. Some marchers will bed down in churches and a mosque.

A mosque?! Any guesses as to why a mosque would be interested in helping out?

Jimenez Market, an area chain, had its sign on display as workers passed out more than 5,000 bottles of water and other supplies worth nearly $17,000. Co-owner Jose Perez acknowledged it is good publicity but stressed that "we are supporting our people. Without them, our business would go downhill."

"Supporting OUR people." Imagine the uproar if so called "white Europeans" were to use that phrase. Yet they call US racists?

This weekend, the Los Comales restaurant plans to donate 500 tortas, Mexican sandwiches filled with steak, ham and other toppings. The Laredo Bakery is donating bread while other restaurants are donating water, fruit and other supplies, organizsaid. Thosehose businesses are natural allies--"part of the same brotherhood," as one marketer put it.

Once again "part of the same brotherhood."
Sounds like it's them against us, based on their comments.

McCain battles union workers over illegals

As he steered his Straight Talk Express across the United States in recent weeks, Republican Sen. John McCain has tried to stay a-head of the immigration issue. But Friday the immigration issue delivered 36 or so heads to his Phoenix office — heads of lettuce, that is.
McCain has been getting skewered in the media for comments earlier this month to a union group in Washington, D.C., that immigrants are taking jobs no one else wants, and offered them $50 an hour to pick lettuce in the Arizona sun for a summer, suggesting they couldn't do it.
The senator didn't stick around long enough to process any applications, despite several offers to take him up on his offer from the audience.
So Friday more than three dozen demonstrators showed up at his office, many carrying lettuce picker applications in one hand, and a head of lettuce in the other to show they could do the job.
McCain was not on hand to greet them, but somehow it's probably not the kind of green he was hoping to collect for his budding presidential bid.

Mexican drug gangs spreading meth throughout country

Last week, federal officials announced the seizure of 174 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, calling it one of the largest ever on the East Coast.

But that's old news. On Wednesday, the feds announced a bust that doubled that.

In the latest case, law enforcement agents seized 341 pounds of the highly addictive crystal meth — or ice — in a Gainesville home. They said it is further evidence of the growing impact of Mexican drug organizations in the area. It was the sixth largest amount ever seized in this country, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Two men were arrested, and two others are wanted. All are illegal immigrants.

The Minutemen once again attempted to have a peaceful demonstration on Sunday, but once again they were attacked, mugged, threatened, and over-run by militant illegal supporters all while southern California police stood around and did nothing.

Is the U.S. Government punishing Border Patrol agents to protect a secret agenda?

Even Dianne Feinstein understands, some things just don't add up when discussing our government's actions regarding the border. This story is simply disgusting.

As reported by the Washington Post (emphasis mine):

Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill have asked for congressional hearings and reviews by the White House and Justice Department into the conviction of two U.S. Border Patrol agents who shot and wounded a fleeing drug suspect.

The agents, convicted by a federal jury in El Paso in March, face 20 years in prison at a sentencing hearing next month. "It appears the facts do not add up or justify the length of the sentences for these agents, let alone their conviction on multiple counts," said Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat.

In a letter to President Bush, Rep. Walter B. Jones, North Carolina Republican, asked the White House to review the case, saying the prosecution was "outrageous." He said it did nothing but "tie the hands of the Border Patrol and prevent the agency from securing America against a flood of illegal immigrants, drugs, counterfeit goods and, quite possibly, terrorists."

Spotted in his van near the Rio Grande, records show that Ramos gave chase while Compean circled around to head off the suspect. When Mr. Aldrete-Davila jumped out of the van and ran south to the river, he was confronted by Compean, who was thrown to the ground as the two men fought. Ramos said that when he arrived, he saw Compean on the ground and chased Mr. Aldrete-Davila to the river, where the suspect suddenly turned toward him, pointing what looked like a gun.

This initial report is bad enough, but here is the finishing touch (emphasis mine):

Nearly 800 pounds of marijuana, worth $1 million, was found in the van that he abandoned at the river's edge, the Border Patrol said.
Mr. Aldrete-Davila, who was given immunity by prosecutors to testify against the agents, also received care at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso. He is suing the government for $5 million for violating his civil rights.

The Department of Defense later gave a written press release in response to the uproar over this issue, but several of the facts don't add up in that release. For one, it states that "another agent" showing up at the scene in the middle of the incident, "heard" someone yell "hit him", but they refused, or were unable to identify this other agent. Other than that, their entire defense of the prosecution is based solely on the testimony of the illegal alien drug dealer who they didn't even have any testimony from until they seeked him out in Mexico and ASKED him what happend. The DOJ admits to the drug running, but found it important enough to have agents travel to Mexico, give this illegal alien drug runner amnesty from prosecution, all in exchange to testify againt two border patrol agents. Their reason for doing this is basically from what I can tell ... that the agents threw some of the shell casings into the creek before leaving the scene. The DOJ report contradicts itself when it states that there were seven other agents who arrived on the scene, and were there as the two accused agents threw these casing in, and talked about this incident, but then later they say they decided to investigate only after the agents did not report the shooting.

In order to believe this report, then you would need to believe that all nine of the agents are guilty of not reporting the incident. And even then, the government sends agents into Mexico and somehow locates a drug runner who is attempting to run and hide after being shot by U.S. agents? I somehow can't even begin to imagine that conversation as they attempt to approach this guy. I can't even begin to imagine the motivation that whoever started the investigation must have had, to begin an investigation on something that had not been reported, and that as far as they knew ... had no victim.

Either way, I don't really care at this point if they did locate him as they said they did. You don't give amnesty from prosecution to an illegal alien who had crossed the border with 800 lbs of drugs, and then allow him to file a lawsuit against the U.S. Government for, get this ... "violation of his 4th amendment rights! Yes, so ... according to George Bush's Department of Defense, illegal aliens carting 800 lbs of drugs into our country have constitutional rights. And La Raza calls him Hitler! That's always confused me. George Bush is La Raza's best friend. Why do they march down streets holding signs calling him nasty names when he's defending them? Not too smart.

Now I think if you asked a million Americans, at least, LEGAL Americans ... if they thought Border Patrol agents should be allowed to shoot Mexican drug runners in the process of transporting drugs into the United States and then attacking and wrestling U.S. agents to the ground ... my guess would be about 90 percent in favor, but that's because Americans are not looking at the big picture. They aren't taking into account the effect this could have on diplomatic relations with the President of the most corrupt government in North America (Vincente Fox), who happens to be right in the middle of negotiations with the United States, Canada, and China, on what would amount to be the most important treaty ... in history, at least in THEIR eyes anyway.

I've said all along that there's more to this border security debate than we want to believe. Even Pat Robinson, while bashing the Bush administration for ignoring the dangers to our country, when asked why he thinks Bush is doing nothing ... even he states that he thinks it's because Bush actually believes it's the right thing to do. There's just much more to it then that, and I'm positive of it. Our government is burying these two border patrol agents because they interfered and endangered an under the table plan worked out between the governments of at least four countries.

Of course, it could have been simply because the 800 lbs of drugs was being transported with help from someone else in the U.S. Government, such as ... possibly whoever ordered the agents into Mexico to bring this guy back and give him amnesty. Maybe the fact that these two agents cost someone an awful lot of money ... that could be the motivation I was looking for earlier. Someone such as ... their boss?

But let's forget about that for a minute. As much as some people would love you to believe that Bush is stupid - he's not. He is well aware of what he's doing, and it's not because he thinks it's best for the country. I don't care if he had a second grade education, he would know amnesty is the wrong move. He would know that it's extremely important for ANY country to have a secure border. He would know that our border patrol agents are battling Mexican drug cartels and Mexican mafia every day.

The bottom line is that the entire border issue is about corporate money, the NAFTA Super Highway, and the North American Treaty, or Union for those of you are ready to take it that far.
George Bush got himself pushed into a corner through his agreements with various foreign governments and corporations and now he's stuck facing polls that show almost 90% of Americans wanting the border secured, but he's unable to do anything about it without pissing all over his power structure - that power structure being made up of multi-billion dollar corporate America, as well as foreign government leaders such as Canada's PM Steven Harper, Mexico's Vincente Fox, and China.

This entire border issue is centered around Corporate America wanting two things ... cheap labor, and cheap manufacturing of product. The answer to those needs are obviously solved by flooding the country with illegal/or "guest" workers willing to work for almost nothing, and by providing quick and easy transportation of goods into the United States from Mexico and China. For information on how this is being accomplished, read about the NAFTA Super Highway and NAFTA Railway, both currently in progress and paid for with your tax dollars.

This is not rocket science and it's not even dug deep enough to hide. It's obvious, it's advertised, and it's out of control. I've written about all of this before, so I'm not going to re-type it all again, but I'll paste all the links here so those of you who did not see it the first time can see what's going on. If you have any doubts at this point that there are disturbing reasons why our government is allowing our borders to be over-run, read the following information. I will again urge everyone to please complain to whoever you can, as loudly as you can. I've heard many people say they know it's happening, but they can't do anything about it, so they just want to ignore it so they don't stress out. There ARE things you can do and you start by letting your candidates know you will NOT be voting for them in November unless this situation is solved, WITHOUT any hint of amnesty or "comprehensive immigration reform." Tell them you want the border secured now, and you want illegals GONE. Tell them if your tax dollars are going to illegals for food, education, or medical at the time you go to the polls ... then your vote goes to someone else. And forward this post to everyone you know.

Why aren't more Republican candidates understanding how to win?

The results speak for themselves. Poll after poll shows Americans want the borders secure. All polls, without exception, show Americans DO NOT want amnesty for illegals currently in the country. Americans want action, and they want it now!

So, why are we being ignored? Why do even Republicans, for the most part, ignore the issue when giving speeches, or interviews? Why do more Republicans refuse to follow the example of African-American Republican candidate for Congress - Vernon Robinson, which would be to talk straight, talk openly, and talk blunt about the border issue and illegal immigration. Here is just one television ad by Vernon Robinson that helped give him an overwhelming victory in the primary.

Being African-American and running as a conservative Republican, Robinson is guaranteed to be attacked unmercifully by all liberals and many fellow African-Americans. You are simply not allowed to run for any government position if you are black, unless you are on THEIR side. If you run against them on any issue, you are automatically labeled an Uncle Tom and a traitor to your own race. Robinson, has already experienced this.

On his own website, he notes, via the Associated Press:

The AP reports that State Supreme Court candidate Rachel Lea Hunter (D.-N.C.) recently wrote about Robinson on her website:"Like a good slave, he has returned to the plantation."

Due to complaints, she later revised her statement to describe Robinson's behavior as that of an "Uncle Tom."

Yes, THAT came from a woman actually running for State Supreme Court Justice! Can you imagine this woman making decisions of that importance? I've spent some time on her website this morning and I've decided that I absolutely have to devote an entire post to just how dangerous this woman is. So stay tuned for that.

No doubt, this particular attack that Hunter issued is just the beginning and most likely mere fluff compared to what he'll have coming if his career should continue to be successful.

This is why politicians sell out. This is why they bury their heads in a hole and hide from what they know to be the right direction. But they aren't paying attention to the results of the elections. The only candidates that will lose by following Robinson's example ... are democrats, and I believe that in reality ... even some democrats would win by standing on these issues. Only in excessively left-wing areas such as California, New York City, Maryland, and Connecticut will it fail.

When George Bush won the Presidency, he did so heavily due to Americans' belief that he talked honestly and open about his beliefs and on issues that mattered. Americans, at that time, were convinced that Bush meant what he said and they believed in the agenda he put forth, which was to fix the immigration problem and secure the U.S. from hostile intentions. Why is it so tough for them to understand why his poll numbers within the conservative party are so low? When his close aids are asked about his poll numbers within the Republican party, they seem to think it has to do with Iraq. Republicans understand Iraq. Democrats also use these poll numbers to attack Bush on Iraq, but they have nothing to do with Iraq. Bush's poll numbers (among conservatives) are hurting because of lack of action on stopping illegal immigration - PERIOD. If Bush were to suddenly issue an order to throw any CEO caught hiring illegals into jail for ten years ... his numbers among conservatives would be at 75 percent favorable - instantly. At least, as soon as we saw that it was for real. Obviously, we might be skeptical, based on his constant broken promises of ceasing the catch and release program. We've now learned to wait about six months before believing anything Bush or Chertoff promise. They usually break the promise the very next morning, if not sooner.

So why doesn't Bush do this? Well, that is a much more in-depth topic that I will be posting the answer to later this morning. Of course, depending on when you read this ... you'll have most likely read that post first, since the blogger format places posts by most recent - on top. I don't plan on getting any sleep for a while. But for now, I'll finish this topic first.

I believe every candidate running for office who is honestly opposed to ANY type of amnesty and who supports the complete stoppage of illegal immigration - should hire Vernon Robinson's marketing firm. You should campaign bluntly, without fear, and remember that over 85% of Americans WANT the border secure and want nothing to do with amnesty. Additionally, every time gay marriage goes to the ballot, it gets voted down by about the same margin. THAT's what got Vernon Robinson a victory, and it's what got him the overwhelming support of almost every republican. Here is a replay of his appearance on FoxNews, where you can get a pretty good idea what this man is about. I realize they show part of the same clip you've already seen above, but bare with it and watch the interview. It's worth it.

My hope is that every conservative in office, and every conservative running for office will realize what Americans want. If the republicans running for office understand this, and run hard on these issues, and if the incumbents they are running against, be it Republican or Democrat should ignore the obvious ... then we'll no doubt find ourselves with an entirely new conservatively run government.

The truth is that conservatives are confused right now. We are confused as to how to handle the current situation. We know we can't vote for democrats in November, but we also do not see many options on our own side that look any better. As for myself, I'm not sure what is worse. Do I vote for a democrat who might make gay marriage legal, or do I vote for a republican who will erase our borders and turn us into a third world country? I think I'll go with the gay marriage. So please ... give us another option!

Green Card Scam? Or is this legit?

Or is it a combination of both?
So, I'm doing research online and I go to log-in to my email and I see this ad: "U.S. Government offers green card for life!" At first, I didn't really think anything about it, so I finished checking my mail and then logged off, but in the process ... another ad appears with different artwork, but a similar message: "Live and work in the U.S.A!" So I obviously became curious.

I started hitting refresh on my browser, and yahoo continued to show me many different variations of the same ad. So I immediately knew that my readers would most likely be just as curious, so I grabbed screenshots of all the variations I could find, and I also went through the process of registering, just for your reading pleasure. So I've posted all the screenshots below and I'm very curious to know if this is a legitimate company offering an honest service, or is it some fraudulent shadow company in Indonesia, ripping would be immigrants off? And, if it IS a legitimate company, is it really THIS easy to get a green card? Take a look, and let me know if any of you have any info on this. I'll do some digging also and post updates along the way.

Businesses now filing lawsuits against competitors who hire illegals

I'm loving this one!

It's nice to see the business community standing up and doing what our government officials refuse to do. Rather than stoop to their competitor's level and resorting to hiring illegal aliens, some businesses are taking their competitors to court to force them to do business on equal terms.

As reported by the Associated Press:

In the first of a series of lawsuits, a temporary employment agency that supplies farm workers sued a grower and a two competing companies on Monday.

Similar cases claiming violations of federal anti-racketeering laws have yielded mixed results. The California lawsuit is believed to be the first based on a state's unfair-competition laws, legal experts said.

Santa Monica-based Global Horizons claimed in the lawsuit that Munger Brothers, a grower, hired illegal immigrant workers from Ayala Agricultural Services and J&A Contractors. All the defendants are based in California's farm-rich Central Valley.

The suit alleges that Munger Brothers had a contract with Global Horizons to provide more than 600 blueberry pickers this spring, but nixed the agreement so it could hire illegal immigrants.

Blogger threatened by "peaceful" illegal alien supporters

I came across an extremely talented blogger on MySpace of all places. Yes, there's actually a lot of blogging going on over there and it's not such a bad idea, being that it offers a built in networking platform.

While the ability to use MySpace to search for and attract like minded thinkers is a good thing, one drawback would be that it's just as easy for opposite thinkers to find YOU. That was the case for Fraulein Annika, a beautiful 26 year old LEGAL immigrant from Stockholm, Sweden. Annika was not a political blogger and most likely spent most of her time on MySpace answering friend requests and reading comments about her appearance, but things got nasty the moment she decided to offer an opinion on something extremely important, which happened to be the "illegal immigration debate."

What she wrote, although 100 percent accurate, and extremely well written, was simply not appreciated by supporters of La Raza and MEcha. So, Annika soon found herself removing her blog posts, in order to stop the onslaught of threatening and hateful comments. What I find amazing is that Annika tells me that she actually had her posts deleted at times by MySpace, due to complaints being made about what she wrote. This, I could understand ... IF she had written offensive and obnoxious language, or if she had made threats or offered hate speech in what she wrote. I am mystified at why MySpace would delete posts such as this, but allow posts such as THESE to remain. But I will let you be the judge on that.

Following is the post that caused the response, re-posted word for word (other than a single name deletion for their protection). Read it, and judge for yourself whether or not it calls for any type of hateful response. Then realize that the reason it garnered so much attention is simply because ... it's TRUE ... and La Raza and the Aztlan dreamers will stop at nothing to stop anyone from interfering with their plan.

I wrote this blog yesterday and it got a very awkward reaction. If you know me in real life, you probably laughed your ass off and neglected to post a comment. However, those who only know me as the silly Swedish girl on myspace probably freaked out and deleted me as a friend. I don't care! I have like 1,500 anyway. I have a real life. My blog was written immediately after getting off the phone with my older sister who lives in L.A. She was terrified after learning that one of her close Hispanic friends is being threatened because she does not support the majority of her race in Southern California. She agrees that there should be regulations for becoming a citizen. Her parents did it. It took them nearly 15 years, but they did it right. She said that the true victims here are the honest, hard-working Mexicans that came here legally and are working hard to become citizens. They are having trouble but they are still doing it right. She said that the only people who are supporting this protest do not want citizenship, they want open borders so that they can have the benefits of the country without needing to be registered and pay taxes like the people who are trying to blend in with the rest of you.

I decided to repost this as a true blog. Please read this if you get the chance.

First off, I will refresh you with a little history about me. I am a 26 yr. old Caucasian female that is living legally in America. I am a citizen of Sweden and a legal resident of the U.S. I was born in Ireland and became a resident of the U.S. when I was 15 years old. I moved here from Stockholm to attend college in Dallas, TX. I love the United States most days and enjoy the freedoms I have to post blogs without being shot.

My family chose to migrate to a country that spoke English because we were raised speaking English. My father has a very good job in the white collar world and brought new jobs and a great wealth of tax dollars to this country. I am not a felon and would not have come here if I did not think that the U.S. and I could have a mutually beneficial effect on each other. I have never received free money from the states in which I have resided. I am not handicapped and have no children; therefore, I do not qualify for any financial assistance.

My personal feelings about this holiday are not a reflection of everyone in Europe. Please do not tell others that my opinions reflect the people of Sweden. These are my opinions.

I have researched the facts behind the demonstration in L.A. and watched it live on the news. I saw many Hispanics claiming that they are doing the jobs that Americans won't do. That is a lie. The reason America is a strong nation is because Americans will do anything. Before the Hispanics came here, people still mowed their lawns and cleaned public restrooms. In fact, those were the jobs that the teenagers did primarily because they weren't partying as much and wanted extra income so that their parents didn't have to pay for everything. Many young girls had babysitting jobs and a lot of boys had paper routes and washed their neighbors vehicles. These things were not neglected because there were no Hispanics to do the job.

The "Peaceful Protest" was about opening the borders. The people did not want citizenship. They want an easier path to citizenship. Well, guess what? I am not a citizen. I do not want an easier path. I want to know that everyone in the process has had their entire lives under a microscope. I want to know that if there is a convicted child molester from another country; his crime will not be over-looked to expedite his process. I want it to be hard. It is for me. I have to prove everything to the Government. They want every bit of information I can provide or else they say "No!". I like that. It makes me feel more secure.

I am also shocked that many of the marchers brought their children. It was painful to see that they did not care that the stroller they were pushing with their baby inside could get trampled if a fight broke out. There was no excuse for children being present. That is neglect. I would never allow my offspring to be in a situation where I know that a third of the people present are carrying weapons. That is not an assumption. The Mecha Web Forums were urging the attendees of the march to bring guns and knives.

From here on out, I have reposted the blog that outlines the things that I discussed with others before the March.

May 1 is celebrated as May Day, or International Worker's Day. This is the commemoration of the Haymarket Riot of 1886 in Chicago, Illinois. The date was later endorsed by the Soviet Government, and subsequently stopped being celebrated as a major holiday in the United States.

Today groups such as M.E.C.H.A. and La Raza ("The Race") are staging protests in Los Angeles and other areas in support of amnesty for all illegal aliens within the United States of Mexican origin. These groups claim to seek the liberation of lands conquered or purchased by the United States government. This is what the MEChA Constitution says (Article II, section 1):"General membership shall consist of any student who accepts, believes and works for the goals and objectives of MEChA, including the liberation of AZTLAN, meaning self-determination of our people in this occupied state and the physical liberation of our land."

M.E.C.H.A.'s own motto translates as follows:"For the race everything. For those outside the race, nothing."

Both groups are easily visible on college campuses all over California, and reports of their statements are consistent with the statements I read and heard while attending University of California Davis. Mario Obledo, co-founder of (Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund [MALDEF] ), considered one of the premier Hispanic activist organizations, stated in June 1998:"California is going to become a Hispanic state and anyone who doesn't like it should go back to Europe. Eventually we will take over all the political institutions of California."

Here's a theoretical question:If 500,000 Norwegians with no identification crossed the border into Sweden, and began rioting in the streets in Stockholm, waving Norwegian flags and demanding that Sweden open their border to Norway, what would the appropriate response for the Swedish government be?

Of course, no one behind this is interested in citizenship. If illegal aliens became citizens, Wal-Mart would have to pay them more than $2.00 an hour. The meat-packing and agricultural industries would have to start following all the worker regulations they have been skirting since they started hiring illegal aliens under the table. Tyson Foods is not giving their employees the day off because they want them to come back as citizens. Otherwise they would have hired U.S. citizens in the first place.

The goal here is to officially stop enforcing the U.S./Mexican border, and create a limitless supply of slave labor. At the same time, the Mexican government, which is known to smuggle drugs into the U.S., is in the process of decriminalizing marijuana, heroin, and cocaine.

What this amounts to is Wal-mart and Tyson Foods passing their labor costs off onto the government. Cesar Chavez, the Mexican-American labor leader who led protests against businesses who hired illegal aliens, understood this and fought it. What is at stake is the very concept of the United States as a sovereign nation, rather than a transnational corporate collective presiding over a number of territories in North America and Asia.

If you really want a disheartening picture of what is happening, research the sources of funding for organizations like La Raza, M.E.C.H.A., and MALDEF. It may lead you to unexpected conclusions which transcend conventional American Democrat/Republican paradigms. When both parties collaborate with an invading army in the homeland, while at the same time acquiring new colonies in the middle east, I can see no other logical conclusion.

What do Lance Armstrong and illegal aliens have in common?

It's hard enough to swallow the fact that our government simply does not care about millions of illegals running across our border undetected and unscreened. What's even more difficult to accept, is that they have now become so bold and aggressive, that they are now sprinting into the country ... ON BICYCLES!

Reuters is reporting:

Illegal immigrants and drug traffickers are using dilapidated bicycles to make a swift, night-time dash over the desert to Arizona from Mexico, border police say.

Border Patrol agents in the desert state are finding dozens of the bikes dumped at hamlets such as Three Points, southwest of Tucson, which are used as staging areas by smugglers ferrying marijuana and immigrants on to cities inland.

So, the bicycles can then be added to this section of the Arizona landscape, as seen in the photo at right, for the enjoyment of all.

"The illegals use bicycles, either riding them on ranch roads or the foot trails themselves, as a quicker means of getting north," said Border Patrol agent Kevin Nutwell as he inspected a rusty bike discarded on one lonely trail south of Three Points.

But once again, don't be fooled into believing these are simple migrants as the Reuters headline would like you to believe. As in every aspect of illegal immigration, a more sinister agenda is always close behind.

Nutwell said agents also found bicycles that had been rigged with special frames to carry bundles of marijuana along the back roads that crisscross the lonely stretch of desert.

"It's just one of the ingenious forms of smuggling that we come across; there's no end to it."

So you see? They're all geniuses, but they have to run drugs across the border on bikes to make money. Who needs a high school diploma when you're so ingenious that you can simply smuggle drugs?

Illegals in U.S. - 10.5 Million and growing

The Associated Press is reporting:
About 11 million illegal immigrants were living in the U.S. at the start of this year, the federal government said in a report Friday.

That's up from an estimated 8.5 million living in the country in January 2000, according to calculations by the Office of Immigration Statistics in the Department of
Homeland Security.

In March, the Pew Hispanic Center used Census Bureau data to estimate that the United States had 11.1 million illegal immigrants in March 2005. The center used monthly population estimates to project a total of 11.5 million to 12 million in March.

Mexico is the largest contributing country of illegal immigrants, with nearly 6 million in the U.S. in 2005, the government said. El Salvadore, Guatemala, India and China followed with a combined contribution of about 1.4 million unauthorized immigrants.

And for those of you not in bordering states such as California, Texas, or Arizona ... it's now being reported that the problem is spreading throughout the country.

NPR.org reports:
New Census Bureau figures confirm what many Americans can already see with their own eyes: The numbers of their foreign-born neighbors are growing. And the change is most dramatic in states not known for having large numbers of immigrants.

Virtually every state in the nation saw a rise in its Latino population from 200 to 2005, according to the new mid-decade Census Bureau report known as the American Community Survey. In states like Georgia, Tennessee, Nevada and South Carolina, the Hispanic population jumped more than 40 percent in the period -- and Arkansas has seen an almost 50 percent increase.

Nationally, West Virginia was the only state in the period studied that did not show a rise in minority population.

Deported man sneaks back into country and murders ex-girlfriend

According to the N.Y. Post:
August 9, 2006 -- A jilted lover yesterday shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, then turned the gun on himself in the Queens bar where she worked, police said.

Louis Vallejo, 38, carried out the grisly murder-suicide yesterday in front of shocked patrons at the El Paisa CafÃ© on Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights, where the victim, Carolina Perez, 26, was a bartender.

Perez and Vallejo, both natives of Colombia, had been dating on and off for five years. But several months ago, Perez broke it off and returned to Colombia. She came back to the Big Apple and began seeing somebody else.

Perez wasn't worried about Vallejo because she had heard he'd been arrested and deported, the bar manager said.

But apparently, he slipped back into the United States.

A surveillance video is now circulating and has been shown on Fox news, showing the brutal murder in it's entirety.

How sad is that? Here's one person hoping this girl's family files a lawsuit against the Federal Government for not making any effort to keep this guy out of the country. If the victims of illegal alien crimes should start winning cases ... it might be the first time I find myself pulling for more frivilous lawsuits.

Any attorneys out there care to have a go at this one?

Of course, no word yet as to the victim's immigration status.

The La Raza Lie

"The Europeans stole the continent."

"California was stolen from Mexicans."

You constantly hear La Raza members, Hispanic community leaders, and even several Hispanic United States government officials saying that Americans "stole" the continent and it is rightfully theirs. What they fail to acknowledge is that their corrupt leaders for whom they have never stood up to ... SOLD it to us in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.

The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was the peace treaty that ended the Mexican-American War (1846Ã¢1848). The treaty provided for the Mexican Cession, in which Mexico ceded 1.36 million kmÃÂ² (525,000 square miles) to the United States in exchange for USD$15 million.

The United States also agreed to take over $3.25 million in debts Mexico owed to American citizens.

The remainder of the land was obtained in yet another purchase, The Gadsden Purchase of 1852.

The United States wanted to make certain "boundary adjustments"; Mexico needed money and wanted a settlement of her Indian claims against the United States; and Gadsden and his friends wanted a route for their railroad. In 1852 Gadsden agreed to pay Santa Anna $10,000,000 for a strip of territory south of the Gila River and lying in what is now southwestern New Mexico and southern Arizona.

It was in no way stolen! It was bought, and paid for with a very steep price. Ask these people ... if we were to give them back California ... are they going to pay back the money we bought it with? Do they realize how much $15 million was back in 1848? Are they going to pay us based on what that amount would be worth today? Do they have about $360 Billion? It's very difficult to imagine how any person with the slightest bit of common sense or intelligence could possibly believe that it was "STOLEN." As of the time of this posting, I have yet to dig up any info on a single court ruling judging the sale of this land to be illegal.

They also leave off one other important fact. The purchase gave automatic U.S. citizenship to all Mexicans living in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. So, there you have it. No Mexican was ever kicked off the land. They were in fact, given automatic citizenship. Stolen?!

Yet, we get this, this, and this.

The truth is, that the number of illegals crossing our borders who are coming simply to work ... is very small. Most of them, are coming here to collect free welfare, free food stamps, free school, and free medical care. And unfortunately, many of them are here with other, more dangerous intentions. The influx of ILLEGAL aliens will undoubtedly break our economy.

The bottom line is ... if you are Mexican, Russian, Chinese, Pakistani, or whatever ... I am happy to welcome you here. Simply do it legally.

Nuclear materials being smuggled across border

So, I keep hearing how the whole anti-illegal and border enforcement movement is all about racism and bigotry. The pro illegal crowd likes to scream and yell about how we are nothing but haters, and how we should open the borders. I'd like to think that if they knew the true dangers and understood the big picture, that they would suddenly come around to our way of thinking, but sadly ... I know quite well that it wouldn't matter if they fell into a ditch and landed on a thermo nuclear warhead. Their agenda does not allow them to concern themselves with facts, and truth is that many of them would not allow a few hundred thousand deaths to alter their selfish desires. So they continue to ignore reports such as this.

JOSEPH FARAH of WorldNetDaily reports:

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency between 1993 and 2004, there were 662 confirmed cases of smuggling of nuclear and radiological materials.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said the U.S. is not immune from an attack with so much loose nuclear material around. She pointed out a recent Government Accountability Office undercover operation proved that nuclear materials could be smuggled into the United States.

"GAO actually shipped here to Washington enough nuclear materials to build two dirty bombs through our northern border and, again, through our southern border," she said. "Clearly, there is more that must be done, and clearly, we still have problems on both our northern and southern borders. We've got to put in place an integrated system that provides our citizens with maximum protection against nuclear smuggling, and do it in a way that is both efficient and cost-effective."

Um ... DUH! Hey! I've got an idea! How about ... A FENCE?!!!
Naw ... that would be violating the rights of millions of illegals to roam freely!

Sen. John Kyl, chairman of the Terrorism, Technology and Homeland Security Subcommittee, is suggesting it's time for a "Manhattan Project" commitment by the U.S. to prevent nuclear terrorism, confirming "there have been plenty of efforts by terrorists and smugglers to acquire nuclear materials."

Pointing out that terrorists would need no more that nine pounds of plutonium or 35 pounds of highly-enriched uranium to create a nuclear explosion, Kyl headed a hearing with top government experts on the prospects of detection and prevention of the feared nuke attack on the U.S.

"A trained nuclear engineer – and there are plenty of them looking for work worldwide – could use this small chunk of material to create a nuclear device that would fit into a van or small watercraft," said Kyl.

Army and Air National Guard soldiers expecting to be rewarded for their war duty under Gov. Mitt Romney’s “Welcome Home” bill found the welcome mat ripped out last week by the Legislature as it ended its formal session without approving money for the waivers.

Lashing out at the “wrong priorities” of lawmakers, Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey said, “The Legislature has made the appalling decision to vote on things like tuition breaks for illegal immigrants, but they couldn’t take the time to take a vote to help our Massachusetts war heroes . . . I find it deeply disturbing.”

Border agents find illegals ...

SAN YSIDRO, Calif. -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a U.S. man Tuesday morning after they say he tried to smuggle three migrants into the country hidden in the seats of his vehicle.

CBP officers said they encountered the driver, a 33-year-old resident of Rosarito, Mexico, as he entered the port at about 5 a.m. driving a GMC Vendura van. According to authorities, the driver stated he was a citizen of the United States and presented a valid California identification and birth certificate to the officer. The primary officer said the driver has a nervous demeanor. The officer referred the vehicle and occupant to a secondary lot for a more in-depth examination. In the secondary lot, CBP officers discovered three undocumented migrants sewn into three seats of the conversion van, including the driver’s seat. CBP officers said they carefully extracted two men and a woman from inside the seats.

Officers determined that the two men and woman are citizens of Mexico. They are being detained as material witnesses in the prosecution case.

How much do you think Magoo got paid for turning these people into La-Z-Boys?

Homeland Security, Immigration seemingly ignoring missing illegals

At what point will the American people stand up and say enough is enough? How much has to happen before we, as citizens of this country, decide to take our blinders off and act on the fact that our leaders are simply ignoring our wishes. And once we have the answer to this question, what action will each of us take as we come to the decision that we want it to stop?

Many of you are probably like me in that although you see what’s going on, you have this part of you that keeps saying that everything will be okay. You want to believe that our leaders in Washington have a goal, or a plan, and a desire to protect our country. I’ve had many friends, family members, and letters from readers who all seem to have this same feeling of being protected, yet … what we see with our own eyes each day overwhelmingly contradicts this thought. That is, if we are truly paying attention.

Most Americans, when faced with the topic of “illegal immigration” automatically become locked into a sort of tunnel vision relating it only to poor Mexicans running across the border to find work. Proclaiming that one is “anti-illegal immigration” will immediately draw accusations from many of the ignorant or uninformed of racism or bigotry, even though the word “illegal-immigrant” has nothing to do with any specific race.

As WorldNetDaily so correctly reported over a year ago:
Of the 800,000 illegal aliens caught trying to sneak across the U.S.-Mexico border since October, more than 10 percent are from countries other than Mexico, posing serious national security issues.
"We're now concerned about the potential for terrorists coming across the border because of the huge increases in 'other than Mexicans,' people coming from abroad through Mexico, across our southern border," says Sen. John Kyl, R-Ariz. "Our country has intelligence that tells us that al-Qaida specifically desires to bring people across our border."
According to new Border Patrol numbers, a record 98,000 of these "other than Mexicans," or OTMs, have been apprehended in the last eight months. That's up 175 percent from this same time last year.
While OTMs are supposed to be held for deportation, because of overcrowded conditions in detention centers, 70 percent are released and few show up for immigration hearings.
Even those from countries on terrorist watch lists are released into the general population after a 180-day detention.

And on a more recent note, this report just last week about a Palestinian illegal, with connections to terrorist fundraising, who our government has been TRYING to deport unsuccessfully for over 27 years! Read this report by Bill West on the Counterterrorism Blog here.

And then there’s this today, where we find that 11 Egyptian students arrived over a month ago on student visas, and conveniently VANISHED rather than report to Montana State University. Of course, the FBI tells us there is no terrorist threat by these individuals. Makes sense to me! Eleven Egyptians enter our country on a student visa, never show up for school, are unable to be located, and there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. Okay.

So, why are we doing nothing? Why do 99.9 percent of us wake up each morning, read these stories, allow our blood pressure to boil over, voice our objections to our spouse or co-workers, and then go on with the rest of our day as if it’s just going to go away?

Please! I urge every one of you to realize that you must act. Call and write your congressional representative. Browse the internet for anti-illegal immigration groups and sign up. Participate in anti-“ILLEGAL” immigration protests. Don’t just watch them on television. If each and every one of us fail to take part in this process, nothing will ever be changed. The ACLU and La Raza are all organized, loud, and visible. The number of visible protests on American soil by groups such as Hamas and Hizollah are unbelievably real. Don’t believe me? Look here. Don’t just read this article and get stressed out. DO SOMETHING!!!

Are politicians paying attention?
Illegal issues, border security winning votes!

There are two issues that seem to be consistently winning elections throughout the country, at every level. Time and time again, candidates who support tough border security and traditional marriage are coming out victorious. Is anyone paying attention?

Even in California, which traditionally votes heavily democratic, republicans strong on security issues are proving once again that liberals never seem to understand why it is that they lose elections. It seems that every time they lose, instead of realizing they might be on the wrong side of the issues ... they stick to their agendas and insist they simply didn't do a good job of getting out the message. As for me, I'm hoping they stick to that plan.

As reported back on June 7th by WILLIAM FINN BENNETT on NCTimes.com:

Illegal immigration appears to have trumped ethics reform as the most compelling issue on the minds of voters in Tuesday's 50th Congressional District election to pick a temporary replacement for the seat formerly held by Randy "Duke" Cunningham.

Wednesday's vote tallies showed Republican Brian Bilbray, the candidate who made putting a stop to illegal immigration the centerpiece of his campaign, with about 5,000 more votes than Democrat Francine Busby.

I question why liberals are so confident they will pick up seats in 2008 when voters have consistently shown contempt for their arrogance. I hate giving advice to the enemy, but if they would only listen to the wishes of Americans, rather than to illegal aliens and Hollyweird ... they just might win something.

As evidence that liberals still have their ears plugged, here's what each candidate said after the election:

Busby (the loser) - "we still feel very good about the campaign we ran."

Bilbray (the winner) - "It means that immigration is the No. 1 issue and that amnesty is not the answer to illegal immigration," he said.

Deadly highway crash involving illegals

Something is not right with this story. My gut tells me that there are some important facts conveniently left out of this write up by Breitbart.

9 Illegal Immigrants Die in Ariz. Crash

YUMA, Ariz.
Nine illegal immigrants were killed in a highway crash Monday while trying to elude Border Patrol agents, and at least 12 others were injured, officials said.
The large sport utility vehicle carrying up to 22 people swerved to avoid a spike strip put out by Border Patrol agents, Sheriff's Maj. Leon Wilmot said.
Four victims died at the scene and five others were pronounced dead at a hospital, he said.
Five of the injured were in critical condition, Wilmot said.

I could be wrong. It's possible that this is a quick public release of the information they had at the time, but then again ... maybe not. It just seems to me that it's missing some obvious information such as ... what kind of crash was it? The story says they were "injured while trying to elude Border Patrol agents," but it doesn't say there was a crash, and if the crash involved any other vehicles. Did they all get hurt falling on top of each other in an evasive maneuver? Did the driver roll the truck? Did it roll down an embankment and into a cement divider? Or did they cross the center divider and run head on into an American family of four?

Just a few more questions that come to my mind are ...

Why was the spike strip put down by the border patrol? Was there a chase? What caused the chase?

Were there any other vehicles involved in the crash?

If so, were all the fatalities and injuries to the illegals, or were there American citizens involved also. If so, why is there no mention?

It just looks like another case of a writer carefully wording an article to make the illegals look like victims. I'm predicting we'll see more on this, most likely via the ACLU and other pro-illegal groups who will charge the Border Patrol caused the accident through negligence or excessive actions.

MSNBC reports the following:

A vehicle filled with suspected illegal immigrants rolled over early Monday, resulting in nine deaths and 12 injuries, five of them critical, authorities said. The single-vehicle accident occurred on a road about a mile west of U.S. 95 when the driver of a large SUV carrying up to 22 people attempted to make a U-turn with Border Patrol agents in pursuit and the vehicle rolled over when he lost control, a Border Patrol spokesman said.

‘They’re like sardines’It wasn't clear Monday afternoon where all the victims had died but the death remained at nine regardless. Frers said the SUV's driver had tried to circumvent a checkpoint on the highway when agents saw the vehicle and tried to intercept it. He said he did not know how fast either vehicle was traveling.

"The Suburban was grossly overloaded, and it's difficult to handle on that kind of (dirt) road," Frers said. Immigrant-smugglers frequently pack a large number of people into older vans or SUVs that often have mechanical problems, resulting in often-fatal accidents.
"They just pile in; they're like sardines," Frers said. "It's unfortunate."

Sad as this is, the fortunate part is that there were no innocent families killed on the way home from church.

How many more Mexicans have to die before El Presidente builds a wall?

Mexican mafia captain busted in Laredo Texas

Via Jim Kouri of The Sierra Times:

A ranking member of the violent Mexican Mafia gang was arrested near Laredo, TX, on Thursday by federal agents while he attempted to smuggle into the US 12 aliens hidden in the back of a tractor-trailer.

Jorge Antonio Espinoza, 40, from Laredo, was in federal court Friday morning where he was charged with attempting to transport illegal aliens into the United States. Espinoza was denied bond and is expected to remain in federal custody pending his next hearing scheduled for Aug. 4.

Any bets on how long it will take before this loser is released?

Says special agent Alonzo Pena:
“Espinoza is a smuggler who has no regard for human life. He attempted to transport 12 people inside a refrigerated tractor-trailer where they could have suffered severe medical complications,” he said.
Espinoza is one of the captains of the “Mexican Mafia” that operates in Laredo. His criminal history ranges from possessing drugs to escaping from prison.

Ohio restaurant owner makes living off of illegal workers

While doing research this morning, I noticed the associated press had managed to plaster a single article into almost every local newspaper throughout the country. That’s not really unusual with all that’s going on, with the war, and Castro near death. What’s unusual about the extent of this article’s national attention, is the subject. The topic is not the expanding of operations by Israel into Lebanon. It’s not about Cuba being close to celebrating the death of one of the world’s most famous tyrants. And it’s not about worries of nuclear arms in Iran. This story which appears this morning in local newspapers in cities all over the United States, is about the worries of a small time grocery store owner in Middletown, Ohio, who is stressed about the loss of business due to ILLEGAL aliens fleeing the county.

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - At his Tienda La Raza grocery store and restaurant, Jose Bravo sells Spanish-language DVDs and Mexico soccer jerseys, chorizo sausage and chopped cactus. Lately, there has been another hot seller — one-way bus tickets out of here.

"People that had been in the United States for a while, who were planning to stay, now they feel scared," Bravo said. He said he has sold at least 10 tickets in recent weeks to people who are moving to Michigan or other parts of Ohio, or who have decided to go back to Mexico.
Tough talk on immigration over the past year in Butler County has alarmed some of the area's immigrants, many of whom work in construction in this booming area midway between Cincinnati and Dayton.

I feel his pain.

Oh, did you catch the name of his grocery store? That would be the La Raza grocery store and restaurant. Yeah, I know. Sweet!

For those of you who are not familiar with La Raza (The Race), read this previous post.

So once again, this is another article filled with mention of the struggles of “immigrants” and “migrant workers.” Once again, another writer makes an attempt at playing with the emotions of readers who might not notice or be aware enough to realize the inability of certain people to grasp the difference between legal immigration and ILLEGAL immigration. Writer Dan Sewell quotes one of the legal workers:

Bravo, who is a legal immigrant, said Mexicans who are here illegally talk of life in "the Golden Cage" — going out only to work, then hiding in their homes.

I guess that would be the “shadows” Bush was talking about. As ‘El Presidente might say … “poor fella.”

And of course, no controversy could truly be legitimate without participation from our favorite communist organization:

The American Civil Liberties Union decried as vigilantism the detention in May of 18 undocumented immigrants working at a construction site.

I’m sure everyone can agree that it’s a violation of civil liberties to detain a person who commits a crime. You know? That “living, breathing constitution” and all.

But you know that there are always solutions and ways to work out our differences, and who better to work toward these mutual understandings than a liberal, activist college professor:

Shelly Jarrett Bromberg, a Miami University professor of Spanish and Latin American studies in Hamilton, last summer helped start a group, now about 75 strong, that has organized community forums and a legal-information fair for immigrants.

“Immigrants?”

That’s “ILLEGAL” immigrants, otherwise known as LAWBREAKERS.

“Legal-information fair?”

Yeah … I believe that means … ‘free legal advice to illegals.” What are the odds the professor is also offering free college tuition?

But with all of that, the story saves the most incredibly nauseating propaganda for last:

During Bible school this summer, some three dozen children, none of them Hispanic, at Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Hamilton learned songs in Spanish, played with a pinata and maracas, and made fleece blankets that say "Jesus Loves Me" in English and Spanish to send to a sister church in Mexico.

What does illegal Alex Vega tell Americans?

As Newsbusters blogger Michael Rule reports, illegal alien Alex Vega made this arrogant comment during a segment on illegal immigration on CBS yesterday morning.

" ... CBS’s Sunday Morning reporter Martha Teichner narrated a piece sympathetic to Hispanic immigrants, and in particular, illegal immigrants. She profiled three Hispanic people, two of whom initially came to the country illegally. One illegal immigrant she profiled (Alex Vega)was defiant of his status, and sounded almost threatening ... "

Here's what I want to know. Did CBS pay these illegals for their participation in this interview, and if so ... can they be fined for hiring known illegal workers?

Three illegals arrested while attempting to obtain airport security IDs

Via the Mississippi Sun Herald:

GULFPORT, Miss. - Three Mexican nationals who used fake identification to obtain jobs were caught when Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport personnel reported the men to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.

Authorities said the three were trying to obtain airport security identification badges by making false statements when they were arrested. Airports and other pieces of sensitive infrastructure are a priority for Immigration and Customs authorities, officials said.

Jose Jesus Miranda-Guerrero, 20; Nelson Solis-Hernandez, 18; and Marcelo Perez-Martinez, 24, worked for an airport subcontractor.

Federal authorities didn't identify the subcontractor or the type of work involved. The three men were applying for training to get a security badge when they were reported to authorities.
"Because national security is our absolute No. 1 priority, it's imperative that we ... make absolutely sure that the industries that provide for our defense and commerce are not vulnerable to or threatened by individuals who operate under fraudulent identities," U.S. Attorney Dunn Lampton said Friday.

Improvements scheduled at the airport include multimillion-dollar contracts for airfield improvements, new air-cargo and rental-car service facilities and a parking garage.

Illegal Immigrants "good for the economy?"
How about a $62.9 million TRASH bill?

How many times must we listen to our government leaders , who seem to believe we are all stupid, telling us that illegal immigration is essential to our economic survival? Both democrats and republicans alike, will have you believe that our country benefits financially from the never ending flow of "illegal" migrants into the United States, most of whom lack a basic high school education. Fortunately, almost all polls show that 85% of Americans are NOT stupid and are well aware that our representatives are purposely lying to us.

Now, we get this report that the U.S. Bureau of Land Management estimates American tax payers are stuck shelling out approximately $62.9 million ... simply to clean up the TRASH dumped by illegals in the Arizona desert. In this report by Tony Davis of the Arizona Daily Star:

While nobody has an exact cost estimate for removing all the garbage, it's clearly not cheap. But McFarlin agrees with several advocacy groups that without a tightening of controls on illegal immigration, a guest-worker program or other reform of federal border policy, the trash will just keep coming regardless of what's spent.

The financial details:

● In 2002, the U.S. estimated that removing all litter from lands just in Southeast Arizona Â east of the Tohono Reservation Â would cost about $4.5 million over five years. This count didn't include such trash hotbeds as Ironwood Forest National Monument, the Altar Valley, Organ Pipe and Cabeza Prieta.

● Since then, Congress appropriated about $3.4 million for a wide range of environmental remediation measures in all of Southern Arizona. This includes repairing roads, building fences and removing abandoned cars.

● The five-year tab is $62.9 million for all forms of environmental remediation for immigration-related damage across Southeast Arizona, including $23 million for the first year.

As staggering as this amount is, it is just a tiny fraction of what illegal immigration is costing us taxpayers. Here is a breakdown of what this invasion is costing American citizens, according to the Huddle Report back in 1997:

Other More Recent Estimates

Other estimates have been done on components of the cost of illegal immigration. For example, FAIR estimated in 2003 that the cost of K-12 education for illegal alien children was at least $7.4 billion annually (see Breaking the Piggybank). This would be less than double the about $5.9 billion estimate above, but would be of the same order of magnitude. FAIR's 2004 report on the medical expenses incurred because of illegal immigration (see The Sinking Lifeboat) shows uncompensated costs in excess of one billion dollars.

So common sense would seem to make it quite obvious that it would be almost impossible to believe the nonsense being put forth by the likes of John McCain, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Howard Dean, and Hillary Clinton. What's amazing is the number of Republican officials offering the same garbage. Please! Don't allow them to believe they have you fooled. Please call and write your government officials and let them know that you are aware of the facts. Let them know we will not stand for amnesty, or anything short of 100% border enforcement. And please forward this article on to everyone you know.

Pat-downs at sporting events unconstitutional, according to federal judge

Are you kidding me? Has the world gone completely mad? Where do these judges come from?! According to CBS Sportline.com:

Security "pat-downs" of fans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers games are unconstitutional and unreasonable, a federal judge ruled Friday, throwing into question the practice at NFL games nationwide.

High school civics teacher Gordon Johnson sued the Tampa Sports Authority, which operates the stadium, to stop officials from conducting the "suspicionless" searches. A state judge agreed with Johnston that the searches are likely unconstitutional and halted them.

The case was later moved to federal court, where the sports authority sought to have that order thrown out. Whittemore refused Friday, writing that the pat-downs "constitute unreasonable searches under the Florida Constitution and the Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution."

Further, Whittemore said the Tampa Sports Authority failed to establish that the risks outweigh the need to protect the public from unreasonable searches.

Just how bad must an attorney be to be unable to show the extreme risk inherited by allowing 50,000 people to enter a football stadium during these times, without pat-downs? And if pat-downs are unconstitutional due to being "suspicionless"... wouldn't that mean searches of backpacks, purses, or water coolers would fit into the same category?

So, I wonder if this will effect security measures at Judge Whittmore's courthouse. Do you think they will stop running backpacks through an x-ray machine before entering the building? Even worse, how stupid must this civics teacher Gordon Johnson be? Does he really want to be walking into a sporting event in which security is not able to do much of anything to prevent Naveed Afzal Haq from sitting next to him wearing a vest filled with C4? What do you think could possibly cause this teacher to prefer to be blown to pieces, rather than submit to a simple pat-down? What does he have to hide? My guess is that he most likely makes a habit of sneaking in a few bottles of alcohol, or maybe even a few ounces of cocaine, but I must wonder if it might be something more sinister such as ... a gun. A man does not go to court and spend that amount of effort simply to fight for the right to die in the name of Allah.

As AOL blogger Scott will prove, I'm sure there are those of you who will probably feel that this decision is fantastic, and that it's a victory for our rights. But I wonder if you will feel that way the next time you're standing in line at a major event just hours after hearing news that a terrorist just blew himself up in a crowded disco, or a wedding party in Israel. Or after listening to another Islamic leader saying they will "bring destruction and death to Americans", and that "our cities will run red with blood."

And if a pat-down at a crowded football game is unconstitutional, then how is it different from a search at an airport? When a security official runs us through an x-ray machine, a medal detector, instructs us to remove our jackets and shoes, or instructs us to open up our bags and pull out the contents ... how can this judge not rule that all airport searches are illegal? The answer might be simply ... that he has not handled that case yet.

What this judge, and so many liberals fail to realize is that the security at football games, or airports, or concerts do not force you to undergo these searches. You have the absolute right to refuse the search, turn around, step out of line, and go home without so much as a single tap on the shoulder by that security guard you're so afraid of ... thereby leaving all of us smart fans to enjoy the game in safety.

By the way! This judge might sound familiar to you. If not, let me refresh your memory from an earlier case.

We should all fear this judge, and any judge like him. He will cost us our lives, and the lives of our children.

Evidence mounts, did Reuters writer fabricate story on Minutemen?

Earlier this morning I wrote that I had serious doubts about some of the facts reported by Reuters writer Michelle Nichols. I suggested here that she had made up a claim that the minutemen representatives had pushed or shoved members of a counter-protest, and I also expressed my suspicion that she might have completely fabricated a quote, most likely quoting an imaginary person. After reading several additional eye-witness accounts of the protest, I am even more convinced now than before. I would love to hear from Nichols, or maybe from Stephen Durham, who she quoted as a witness and who I believe to be a figment of Nichols' imagination.

Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist and his co-author Jerome Corsi dispute a Reuters report of their book-tour kickoff at Ground Zero in New York City that implied the citizen border-watch group provoked a physical confrontation with protesters.

The second paragraph of a Reuters story by Michelle Nichols said Minuteman members "pushed and shoved members of an immigrant rights group that showed up at the event."
In fact, Gilchrist told WND, it was the radical activist group that launched an assault while he was answering questions from the media. The group of about 125 broke through a police barrier across the street and pushed and shoved members of Gilchrist's entourage, including his wife, before police intervened.

A handful of New York City police officers, trying to protect Gilchrist and his colleagues, quickly whisked them away in cabs.

Illegal alien supporters mob rush Minutemen

As usual, a legal demonstration by Americans supporting secure borders was interrupted by a mob of obnoxious, threatening, violent, and I am brave enough to say … ignorant thugs.

According to a Reuters report, Michelle Nichols (see note at bottom of post) reports:

Immigration activists clashed at the site of the World Trade Center on Wednesday when an anti-illegal immigration group called for secure borders to avoid a repeat of the September 11 attacks and counter protesters yelled "racists go home."

And as usual, things got violent:

Jim Gilchrist and Jerome Corsi, authors of "Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America's Borders," were whisked away when some immigrant rights supporters broke through a police barrier and scuffled with Minutemen supporters.

Stupid is, is stupid does:

Stephen Durham, one of the alleged counter-protesters, seems to be living in some sort of ACLU virtual reality world, where common sense does not exist. I would also make a bold accusation that he is a trained protester, planted and used by Michelle Nichols to blab out the usual rhetoric. Mr. Durham states …

"I'm really appalled that (the Minuteman Project) would use 9/11 to publicize a plan (to secure U.S. borders) which is fundamentally so unconstitutional and un-American," he said. "We are all immigrants. Immigrant labor built America."

Notice how he manages to hit all the standard anti-American talking points in a single short paragraph?

Never mind that 9/11 was carried out by ILLEGAL ALIEN terrorists who are known to have entered through our southern border. Never mind that nowhere in our constitution does it state that citizens of a foreign country have a right to ILLEGALLY enter our country and ignore our laws. Never mind that we are a nation of LEGAL immigrants, not ILLEGAL immigrants. And just how absurd is it to call American citizens “un-American” for asking “non-Americans” to respect our laws?

**Note: I believe it’s important to point out the history of the Reuter’s writer, Michelle Nichols. A quick Yahoo search reveals her history of writing with an agenda. It’s apparent in this article how she manages to throw in the following line:

“Members of the Minuteman Project, which patrols the U.S.-Mexican border for illegal immigrants, pushed and shoved members of an immigrant rights group that showed up at the event.”

That line, attributed to Nichols herself, rather than any witness, contradicts all other reports of the incident that have the Minutemen representatives being forced to flee the scene due to threats of violence from the violent pro-illegals crashing through police barriers.
